Water Damage? I was going boating with some friends over the weekend. Just before I put my Duo in the lockbox of the boat, a friend asked me to help unload his jet ski. Well... my Duo was in my board shorts and got every so lightly wet. The keys still illuminated and the phone still vibrated when I was receiving a call, but the screen had no display on a back illumination. I took it apart to try to let it dry, but I got the same results... lit keys, but no display. Now I have nothing. When I try to charge it, the screen backlights for a few seconds (no display) and then it goes dark. Any ideas what I can do? Also, what color does the dot turn on a cell phone battery when it has sustained water damage? Thanks for the input.

Hi, I have a 1996 3200 maxum. My problem is after 20 minutes my boats right engine starts missing and my volt meter starts flickering. The alt is new.

Kind of sounds like a short in that engine's electrical system. Not sure why it happens after 20 minutes, but perhaps that's when it gets warmed up and the choke comes off. Check the wires for spots where they could rub on a surface and cause a short.

How do i launch a 22ft birchwood ruiser and how do i get it out of the water when there are only 2 people present, one female

only assume your female friend can drive. stage your boat at ramp you get in boat, she backs down into water, you drive boat off trailer. if she has trouble driving with trailer then you dock up boat and go park. OR you could let her handle the boat. just repeat process to load.

Is this kayak very stable in the ocean

Hwello
I read all the reviews of the boat I could find, all were VERY positive, all said the boat was very stable in all water conditions, the only draw back comment I ran across is that it is fairly heavy, but that is due to its rugged design, so really you can't have it both ways.
Having Kayaked in the Ocean many time myself I would buy this boat for that purpose after what I read. Here are some transcripts of the reviews I read

"used one of these while on vacation in canada, and i'm hooked it was very sable on rough waters, and we also took it out and went fishing ."
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

"The Future Beach Freedom 160 is a nice stable boat with a rugged and durable build. Due to it's weight the boat is a bit on the slow side and a challenge to move around. Storage at the front of the boat is limited but could be expanded with a small modification. I am sure that this would be a great boat for fishing and other water sports (i.e. snorkling, SCUBA)."
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

"Love this boat, Amazing Quality, superb tracking
An absolute pleasure to use !!!!!!!!"
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Bravo one water on tiller arm

Assuming "tiller arm" is the steering arm (connects to steering actuator and disappears into transom plate, lay on top of engine - not running - and have a friend turn steering wheel, black arm that is coming out of transom and moving is steering arm), problem is most likely the seal on the vertical steering shaft. This shaft connects the steering arm to the gimble ring. Problem can be confirmed by visually checking for water coming from just below the steering arm with boat in water, or residue starting in same area with boat out of water. If this is confirmed to be the problem, repair is quite extensive. Entire transom assembly needs to be taken apart - sometimes requires removal of engine - then the seal can be replaced and the transom assembly put back together. Other items to check in the area would be the wiring for trim sender and limit switch and through hull gear lube fitting (if boat is new enough).

Balt 25 ft cabin cruiser batterys

To locate the batteries, all you need to do is follow the large red cable from either the starter motor or the battery switch. In both cases they will lead you to the battery.

I have been in the boating business for a long time and never heard of a manufacturer named Balt. To verify who built your boat, look for the Hull Identification Number. It is a 12 digit combination of letters and numbers located on the transom, or back of the boat. All boats built since 1973 are required to have this number. Once you have the HIN go to this link:

www.uscgboating.org/recalls/mic_database.htm

At this website you can enter the HIN and find the name and address of the manufacturer.
