If you are comfortable - you can try taking the color wheel out of the tv. Pop the motor apart and clean all the residue on the bearing/spindle. Then lubricate and put it back together. Search on google for how to do this.
There is a company that replaces the motor. Search on ebay for them.
It is in case next to the lamp. Its thin cable sticks out from the case. You will to open the back panel of the TV, check for cables, remove screws for the base on the right, then pull out the base out. You will have to be very careful removing screws and gentle when replace the color wheel. Hope this helps.
Looks like we all got screwed with this TV. Mine just started after 2 years and now it's getting louder. I think I rather call my lawyer than Tech. This product is NOT build properly and someone should let the company know about it.
i have a 56DR650 and it does them same thing. It is still under warranty but where i bought it, they said they can no longer fix it so they are giving my money back. the problem has to do with the color wheel inside.
