Xbox 360 not playing discs keeps saying open tray.....have cleaned hard drive and re started...still no good

HI perform a system restore to before you installed the drivers
(start,Run System restore)
then reinstall them

the systems serial number is located on the back of the unit and the hard rdrives is on the under side of the drive by the barcode. try writing them down and entering them at the format screen.

This is probably going to end up being just one of the many problems associated with the Xbox 360. As a previous owner for 2 years i must say the hardware for these xboxs are complete ****, excuse my french. but, the games and community they brought for me were definitely worth it, so for you, you may consider sending it in to microsoft for repairs or even getting a new one. This is really not a user error problesm just something htat comes with most xboxs. it is obviously a problem with your disk drive and reader but i would not recomment fiddling with it like many people do over the internet. Try to contact micrososft and se how that goes. Best of luck, feel free to contact me i would like to se how this goes as i am considering geting a brand new 360 :P

their is a lil hole on the front stick a pin in their and push, its the manual eject, and then pull the tray open, it should play your disks, but obv its annoying but it soulds like the mechanisms, and i dont think microsoft do repair on the hd dvd drive.

HI, this will require the replacement of the optical lens assembly asap. it has failed.
