Wi if is the slowest form of connection and is shared with other devices. If you want good bandwidth you need to connect via ethernet cable directly to the router.
Examlpe... wi if 4 meg shared, Ethernet 100 meg..
good luck !
This is beacuse there is NAT on the router for which you need to open certain TCP/UDP Ports on the router . but firtstly you need to Bridge the Verizon DSl Modem set up the internet connection as per same .
Hi If the Internet connection frequently drops, It could be wired or wireless. If it is wired connection u can try the following troubleshooting steps 1) connect Modem-Router-Computer 2) Open router UI (www.routerlogin.net) 3) User name : admin , Password: password 4) on the left hand side in the blue panel select WAN setup & reduce the MTU to 1400 & click apply. if the problem still continues upgrade the firmware of the router. This should resolve the problem

Sorry but to give you complete details is not something that I or anyone can take the time. Go to netgear.com and look in their support section, lookup your router and download the manual. latest firmware is available there as well, there is no drivers for a router.
Only real trouble shooting I can suggest is power cycle the modem and router. If you have the Comcast Digital Voice modem make sure you push the reset button on the back as there is a battery in the unit and unplugging won't do anything.
Different internet providers have different requirements for connecting routers to their equipment. Can you provide the name of your internet service provider?
If you are connecting wirelessly, then it's more than likely that your wireless card or usb dongle cannot connect as you router is probably set at 108 mbps.
Your receivers are more than likely only capable of connecting at 54 mbps so change the streaming rate on your router to 54 mbps.
This will not alter your internet connection speed as the 108 mbps only refers to the rate of streaming speed on your local area connection (from one pc to another)
