Some channels have sound, others don't. Picture fine on all channels

If all other channels have sound then the problem lies in the set top box. Your provider can solve the problem.

A firmware update from TCL will fix the problem. Call them and they will send out the firmware and a serial cable (required for update) for free.
I did the update yesterday and it fixed the problem (sound but no picture).
You will need a PC or laptop with a serial port (RS-232).

I have the same issue. Its not the cable because all the other tv's are fine when tuned to those channels....Any luck?

I have HLN 5067wx after replacing the color wheel and inserting new lamp There is sound withou the grinding but absolutely no picture; What is going on?

I hv philips 21RF vardaan TV ,there is sound on AV channel. and the picture is blinking. even some menu setting have changed.. i tried using the service menu but cudnt understand anything. 2 new av channels have come.. av2 and front which were not present before. sound is not coming even on the other channels but picture is fine on them. only on the av1 channel it is blinking., the philips technision had solved this prob once by pressing some code by remote and i don't know the system code

Make sure under the Audio Menu that you have SAP turned OFF

If you do not have problems with picture and sound on all the other working channels, then the problem you are having with 57 & 58 cannot be a short. The problem you are having is that those channels will not tune in properly through your tuner and this is why you get intermittent sound when they are trying to tune in. The sound tunes in easier than the picture. You said that you have programmed the channels again and I am assuming you are talking about the autoprogramming mode. Try to program those channels individually by deleting them and then readding them. If you cannot do that then you need to take the tv back since it is new or have warranty service look at your tuner and setup your tuner by making adjustments to it directly. I have sound on video 2, and when on a static channel but not on the usual channel 3 which is TV. Just stoppen working one day and cant figure it out... Please help!
