E3 code I have a Danby countertop dishwasher. It will come on and start the cycle but then it flashes the E3 code and stops. I just got it a week ago, what could it be?

I have the same problem as well. I wish I knew what "E3" means. There should be a section in the manual that interprets the error codes. My dishwasher will go through the beginning of the wash, maybe halfway, then stop, drain water, and beep "E3".

Received from Danby customer support:
"The error code of E3 tells us that the unit is not getting the proper water temperature to continue thru the entire cycle. Before starting the dishwasher and attaching the quick connect assembly to the faucet, please make sure that the water from the faucet is warm to the touch; you can then attach the quick connect assembly with hose to the faucet and start the unit. If the water temperature does not reach 120 degrees F the dishwasher will not be able to run thru the entire cycle properly. If this is being done and the same code comes up, we will need a service tech in you area to diagnose the problem for us. For a warranty servicer in your area you can reach us at 800-263-2629 Mon-Thu 8:30-5 or Fri 8:30-4 EST."

What does an E3 code mean?

hello,

what this mean is an indication of a problem detected b the sensor

Some models of washers come with a digital readout display that informs the operator of the unit's function and any errors.

Error codes indicate that a problem has occurred and should be addressed. Different models of washers may vary in their fault displays.

Some washer models use flashing lights at the unit's start, door lock, wash, rinse, final spin and control indicators to display error codes.

thanks

What does E3 mean?

E3 not hot enough. This defect can be caused by, but not only, a defective element or clogged spray arms.

Danby dishwasher E3 error

Same issue here so I just got off the phone with Danby. They said the E3 means the water is not hot enough when it goes into the machine. Now I dont know your guys situation but I let the water run hot until I cant touch it anymore, then I turn on the machine and plug it in. So it sounds like the heating mechanism is not working properly and does not heat the water to the appropriate temp to continue with the cycle. I will say that their support was really friendly and she informed me that since it was purchased less than a year ago it would be covered under the warranty. She gave me the number of a local repair shop. Lets just hope they dont tell me nothing is wrong with it because my water temp is fine. I will let ya guys know. Here is the number for Danby that I called. General office: 419-425-5052. Good Luck!
