You can buy one of those toy radar detectors or find one of those signs that tell you how fast you are going. They are usually around school zones and they flash your speed. Your detector should beep when you turn it on to tell you everything is OK too.

Gps singal lost

Often, when your GPS is in a "covered" area ... e.g. inside a building, in a tunnel, under a bridge, amongst / under tall buildings, etc... when there is no open space (directly) between your GPS and the satellites, your GPS will loose its satellite signals. If you're in such locations, try to find some "open space" and wait a bit for the signals to be picked up again.
Another common reason why the GPS doesn't get signals, or doesn't get the signals quickly, is because the "latest" satellite positions (locations) have not been updated in your GPS. If/when you connect your GPS to your computer (e.g. using HOME ) and download the GPS satellite (QuickFix) location information, your GPS will have the most recent locations of the satellites in your vicinity/region. With this information, your GPS can pick up the signals more quickly ... instead of having to search/scan around to find the signals ... which can take a bit more time. While your GPS is searching for the satellite signals, it shows the "signal lost" or "no GPS signal" message.

n the system setup, under “UNITS” I set BEARING to “MAG” (magnetic). This will cause the unit to display course / bearing information in relation to the Magnetic North and match magnetic compass readings. It is not the same as True North! One has to be careful with this setting. There are a number of areas where the earth's magnetic field is locally disturbed, sometimes very significantly. Your GPS may not account for it. - again, under “UNITS” I set “METRIC”.

Cant access router web page

Hi,

When you say, "Can't access router web page", I'm assuming that you cannot get on line. If that is not the case, the following will not be of any use to you and you need read no further,
However, if you are having difficulty getting online, the solution I'm suggesting works in my business (LAN installations) about 95% of the time. I trust that it will work for you.
Let's see if I can help you.
Begin by turning on your computer and your router
?? Make sure your service provider has activated your account and services on the subscribed line. Please check with your service provider to confirm this. ?? Make sure that you are using the latest drivers. You can download the latest driver from Driver Downloads Database. or from Belkin directly at; Belkin Downloads ?? Make sure that you have entered the right username and password (case-sensitive) as given by your service provider. For example, in Australia: [email protected]; in NZ: [email protected] ?? Open Internet Explorer; ?? Click on 'Tools'; ?? Click on 'Internet Options'; ?? Click on 'Connections'; ?? Click on 'Setup' ?? Click on 'I want to set up my Internet connections manually . . .'; ?? Click on 'Next'; ?? Click on 'I connect through a local area network (LAN); ?? Clock on 'Next' ?? Click on 'Next' [This is not an error]; ?? Click on 'No'; ?? Click on 'Next'; ?? Click on 'To connect to the Internet immediately . . .; and, ?? Click on 'Finish'.
That should have you online. However, if it doesn't get you connected, do the following: Click on tools again. Click on 'Diagnose Connection Problems' and follow the instructions.
The last choice is to use the Setup Wizard. It seldom works for me but you might have more luck than poor me. Here are the instructions:
The Connect to the Internet wizard will guide you through the steps of setting up an Internet connection.
Open the Connect to the Internet wizard by:
Clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button • Click on Control Panel. • In the search box, type network, • Click "Network and Sharing Center" • Click Set up a new connection or network • Then double-click "Connect to the Internet".

All the best

I have a uniden trax430 gps how do you set up bluetooth. thanks

Hey allison460

The reason why you can't get bluetooth is because that model doesn't support bluetooth connectivity. The versions superior to this 430 model do. I have the Trax430 also and it works fine for me in New Zealand, although there are some map issues with the POI's (points of interest).

Hope this was a help to you.
