Question about GE Profile JT952 Electric Double Oven

1 Answer

I have a GE Profile Performance Double Wall Oven JT950S0A2SS. I believe the thermostat is shot in both ovens as temperature is inaccurate. Can I buy replacement thermostat and install myself?

I don't think so. the oven's tempt control is ( the clock and it controls both ovens.) there is a sensor in each oven and they tell the clock what is going on it each oven. if both oven are not correct in there tempt you could replace the sensors first and then the clock. now if cost is a factor I would replace the top oven sensor first and see if it corrects the problem . and if so repl the bottom . and if the first sensor does not correct problem then you need the clock.( e o c ..electronic oven control .) this will not be a cheep repair . sensors are 70.20 ea and the clock 201.60 == hope this has helped mm feed back pls . part # of sensor wb23x5340 and clock wb27t10287 //

I have GE model#JKP45WOP2WG double oven wall unit. Lower oven isn't heating up properly. Bottom of lower oven doesn't seem as hot as the top of the oven... replaced oven sensor, not

Most double wall ovens are technically two separate oven boxes. The lower oven box has its bake, boil elements, high limit thermostat and ofcourse its own oven sensor. If the lower oven box boil is working good and less heat on bake feature may suggest that the bake element is burned out and only getting preheated with boil element. Just a suggestion here

I have a JT955 GE Profile 30"double oven...when the food is cooked, and I press "clear/Off", the oven won't shut off...continues to maintain temperature? Tonight, I had to shut it off,...

Your wall oven has two main components that control the oven. The main control computer and the user interface. Your problem is probably in the user interface, although it could be the main control or both. I have had some success cleaning the ribbon that connects the user interface to the control with a little rubbing alcohol. That only works some of the time though. Due to the fact that the oven works except for the cancel button I would lean towards replacing the user interface if cleaning the ribbon dose not work.

F3 and F2 Errror messages on my GE convection oven

F2 & F3 are fault codes relating to the oven temperature sensor

F2 during bake means a temperature of over 630 deg has been reached
F3 means shorted oven temperature sensor

What it means is you will most likely need to have the oven temperature sensor (thermostat) replaced .

Ge profile performance double oven. getting an F7

F7 is a stuck keypad/button.
Push all buttons at random several times each. This will sometimes un-stick a stuck button.
If that does not work the keypad control will have to be replaced.

We have a double wall oven which is 16 years old. The top oven doesn't heat above 150 and the bottom oven is overheating...the oven said 375 and an oven temperature gauge said 450. Is this fixable or do I...

I have the same issue. Only answer I found was the elements may be burned out. The bottom oven is separate (knobs).Go to GE site and see how to adjust the thermostat (behind a knob).
