Dishwasher will not fill with water

I have an Equator dishwasher (Model SB72) that will not fill with water. I first noticed something was wrong when water started leaking out the bottom of the unit. I removed the right side cover panel and found that soon after a cycle began the water entered the air break unit, and then the levelling unit. I am not dishwasher savy; I only know these terms because I was able to locate the Service Parts catalog. Once the water enters the leveling unit it begins to spill out from the top of the unit and into the basin below, and eventually onto the floor. Any advice on what might be the problem? The only thing I see that could be causing a problem is a lot of deposit-like material in the clear plastic air break unit.

How do you know if the water inlet valve is defective, and is this the same as the electrovalve? The spare parts catalog does not mention a "water inlet valve". In the Service Manual it says that if there is a sudden rise of water in the compression chamber that the circuit from the compression chamber to the the ballcock is blocked. In this instance, I should check the ballcock and clean it. Is the compression chamber (again, not listed in the catalog) the same thing as the air break unit or the leveling unit?

A dishwasher that won't fill can have a few sources as the problem:

    1) Check for low water pressure at the tap. It could be a city water problem. This is usually temporary.

    2) The water that fills your dishwasher is controlled by a float, much like the float in a toilet. As the water rises, so does the float, eventually causing the float switch to shut the water off.
The float could be stuck or its movement impeded. Remove bottom rack of diswasher and then the cover of the float assembly. Verify it moves freely.

    3) You will need a multimeter to check the float switch itself, which is accessed by removing the service panel that is below the door. The switch is just below the float assembly and is held in place by a few screws or possibly a clip. Turn off power to washer, disconnect switch from the float assembly and replace, if needed.

    4) There could be an obstruction in the water-inlet hose at the inlet valve. Remove the dishwasher from its cubby hole by removing remove the service panel, then unscrewing the dishwasher from the countertop. Disconnect the water inlet hose and check for any sediment buildup.

    5) There could be a problem with the fill valve, drain valve or drain solenoid. Call in a pro for this.

Try checking for anything that might be obstructing the filters and try to check on kinked or wring tubings. Look for a switch or say knob on the leveling unit as well. keep me posted

Hi,

If there's no water entering your dishwasher, check these:

Water-inlet valve
Float switch
Water-inlet valve The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it.

Float switch The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.

LG drains and fills at same time.

We have a Candy CDI2012/E-02 32900347 1330 3315 dishwasher from around 2013 that once stopped working about 3 years ago. A constant beeping signaled the problem after trying to initiate the washing cycle. Not remembering the details, replacing the controller card (~€50 ebay) fixed the problem at that time.

Now we had a problem again, similar to the one above. Once any of the programs was started, the dishwasher would first drain any remaining water (if detected any), then fill for a few seconds, then start draining/refilling again for about 3 times in a row until the controller detected there was something wrong. Again, everything stopped with a constant beeping. Replacing the controller card did not help this time.

There were actually two independent problems: We noticed that the inlet water hose was kinked. Thus, only little water would enter. Straightening the hose did not solve the problem, though.

We then thought it may be the flow meter. But it is extremely simple in this machine, turned nicely and did not seem to be the culprit.

However, we noticed some deposits in the water reservoir that also connects to the inside of the dishwasher. These calcareous deposits apparently clogged one of the channels. This may have induced some pressure difference, which the controller apparently interpreted as some water level problem. Unmounting the water reservoir with the built-in impeller, dissolving the clogging with toilet descaling agent solved the problem: the dishwasher is working again.

Actually, no electronic parts had to be replaced.

Dishwasher does not clean dishes completely model # kudso3ftss3

Hi

If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound.

If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve. Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete. Try cleaning the spray arm with a soft brush. The water temperature plays a major role in cleaning of dishes. The temp should be between 125 and 150 F for dishwasher to clean the dishes. Hope this helps...

Where can I find parts for Equator WBR72 built in dishwasher

These machines were manufactured by Fagor based in Spain who are not supplying parts for these models to Appliance Desk (Equator's after sales service provider ), however Fagor have their physical presence in America and they should be liable to provide parts for the same. Since they do not want to sell parts to Appliance Desk they should be able to sell parts to the customers directly. In case you would like to purchase parts from them their website address is www.fagoramerica.com

Dishwasher not filling with water. It is not the float. GE PDW 8480 Dishwasher

It could be the fill valve or that the power is not getting to the fill valve. Pull the bottom panel and find where the water line hooks up to the valve. There should be an electrical connector on the valve. First, listen when the dishwasher is at the cycle where it should be calling for water, to see if youhear a click of the valve opening or water running in. If not, and you have a volt meter, pull the electircal connector and check for AC voltage across it when the dishwasher is off - it should be 0, and when the dishwasher normally would fill - it should be something above 0 - it might even be 110v. If the voltage is ok, but the valve is not working, you need to replace the vavle. If the voltage stays 0, then something is wrong in the timer/control circuitry.
