your touch screen gone just change your touch screen it goes back to normal

My pda hp 4700 won't turn on. It's about 3 years old
Assuming that the switches on the bottom case are in the correct position. Try reflashing with original HP rom:

IPAQ 4700 hard resetting on its own.
I also own an ipaq 4700 and experienced the same problem. Even after reloading the OS I continued to have this problem. I did buy it refurbished but I fear this may be a common hardware problem. From my research it would appear the battery is the most likely culprit, I have not tried replacing mine but it may be worth a shot, if nothing else you have an extra battery which means less time at the charger :D

you may want to change the time after which the IPAQ turns itself off. If this time is too short, then Dockware may not be activated.
