If you have a memory card in the camera and pictures on the camera's internal memory, the memory card won't work until you get rid of the internal memory's pictures. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Now your card should work properly.

When I turn my camera on it says internal memory is full and it really does not let me do anything. Oh this is a EasyShare C 813 What can I do and I pray I have not lost my pictures.

Have you insert a memory card in it ? If we don't insert the memory card, pictures that have been taken will automatically saved in camera internal memory, and this memory usually have low capacity so we won't make many pictures because the memory will full in no time. The solution is insert proper memory card (kind and capacity).
If you have insert the memory card the camera shows that notification, it means you need to transfer your pictures data in PC so you can delete them and make more space in your camera memory card.

Hope this help and RATE please !

My Fujifilm s5000 camera turns on but when I go to take a picture it turns off. I can view my pictures but can't take any.

Your memory card or internal memory may be full. I've run into situations where the card full doesn't flash on the monitor or LCD screen because there is lets say 3 gigs of memory left but the picture you are taking is 3.5gig's it won't take the picture because there isn't enough memory to put the image anywhere. Download your pictures to your computer, format your memory card and all should be good again. If you are using the internal memory you will need to obtain (buy) a memory card for your camera and download from the internal memory each picture from the memory card one by one until all the internal pictures are on the removable memory card then download these to the computer. After you have them on the computer go back into the internal memory and delete each of thse pictures and you are ready to start taking pictures once again. it took me longer to type this then the process will take to do.

What does "Memory Full" mean? The card was empty when inserted and only 1 picture taken.

Memory full means the internal memory is full and the camera won't let you use your memory card until you format the internal memory with no card in the camera.

The camera says memory is full but I have only taken about 20 pictures - the letters IN appear in the corner - camera is a finepix F31fd

You are taking pictures to the internal memory and not to the XD Picture Card. The internal memory will only hold about 20 pictures. You can buy an XD Picture card at Walmart or really any store that sells camera accessories. 256MB should be plenty.

You can also lower the resolution of your pictures and then the internal memory may hold maybe 32-40 pictures.

Just put a new memory card in the camera but the screen keeps showing internal memory is full

How to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.
    1. Menu
    2. Cam settings
    3. Chose AUTO or SD card option and Press OK
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.

If you still experience problems:
The lever on your SD card might be turned the wrong way so the SD card is reading protective.
Please turn the lever and try again.

The SD card might not be supported by the model: Your camera Memory card support is SD/MMC up to 1 Gigabyte

The SD card might not be faulty, try another card, since the camera could give you a message like the one you're experiencing.
Try with a different SD card that is supported by the camera.
After you having successfully switched over to saving onto the SD card. I would guess that you would like to transferre the pictures from your internal memory over to the SD card.:

    Cannot access pics

Once you took pictures without a memory card, all pictures taken will automatically be saved on the INTERNAL MEMORY of the camera.
When taking pictures with a memory card, all pictures are just saved on the memory card itself.
If you are seeing 100-757 on the LCD screen. It means that there are already 757 pictures taken from the first time you've used the camera.
It is possible that some of the pictures are in the internal memory and some are in the memory card.

    STEPS to DOUBLE CHECK:
    1) Remove memory card out of the camera
    - Turn on camera
    - View pictures on the internal memory
by just pressing on the PLAY mode button
(lowest of the 3 little buttons)
    - Pictures seen are just the ones saved on the internal memory

    2) Return memory card back in the camera
    - Turn on camera
    - View pictures on the internal memory
by just pressing on the PLAY mode button (
lowest of the 3 little buttons)
    - Pictures seen are just the ones saved on the memory card itself

*** If you want to transfer pictures on the internal memory of the camera to your MEMORY CARD, you just have to follow the steps below:
    - Make sure there is a memory card inside the camera
    - Turn on camera
    - Press on PLAY mode button to view pictures
    - Press MENU/OK button
    - Keep scrolling to the right until you see COPY TO CARD
    - Select YES using the arrow keys
    - Press MENU/OK to confirm
    * When you've done these steps, all pictures from the INTERNAL MEMORY of the camera will be copied to your MEMORY CARD but it depends on the space left on your memory card

** If still, you could not view the pictures, it's possible that the pictures are really gone when you have transferred the previous pictures to your computer.

** Once you have transferred pictures to your PC, and you have deleted those on your camera, the FILE NAME of the pictures will not start from 100-001 again unless you have reset the file name on the settings of your camera.

In example, i already have 256 pictures on my camera so the filename reads 100-256 for the last picture taken. And then i decided to transfer those 256 pictures to my PC and i deleted those immediately after being transferred. So, as i took another picture, FILENAME will start with 100-257 if i have not reset
the FILE NAME settings to 100-001.

    Hope i've helped you enough.
