My printer is flashing load MPF 024-969 PLEASE HELP.
The MPF feeder door that is on the regular paper tray can jam when you load and slide the regular paper tray back into position. The fix is to close the MPF loader and pull out the regular paper drawer. Gently push the lower edge of the small MPF feeder door from inside regular paper tray outward. This will release the door to it correct position.
I had the dreaded 024-969 and was just able to print a test page.
I removed paper and reached inside the MPF. There's a spring-loaded lever facing upward, toward the back of the tray that the paper rests on and depresses. I toggled this up and down a dozen times.
I vacuumed out the entire tray area and then blew air into the same area by reversing the shop vac hose connection to the output hole.
Printer now prints.
I figured this out for myself. The printer was actually doing what it was suppose to do.
I got the error when I was trying to print a photo from a photo applicatioin, not a standard Microsoft application. For whatever reason the application was set to print as an "A4" document, which is a non-standard size--hence the "load paper" error. I just switched it to 8.5 x 11 and it printed fine!
I had an error code of 024-969 while printing C5 Envelopes. I tried the setting above but it did not solve the problem.
Then I tried with "MPF" and "Envelopes" and it worked
I had the same problem and followed the steps above and it worked!!!
I've found after fighting with the buttons on the printer that if you're accessing the printer through the network, it's much easier to make the changes on the printer's web page, rather than scrolling through the panel.
If you find the IP address of the printer, type it into your browser, and go to the "tray settings"
From there, you can set the paper type and size, click apply and click the "!" at the top of the page.
Make sure the door on your paper tray can move. I just went and fixed one of these, we opened the tray and the door was stuck a bit for some reason (it should open when you pull the MPF tray down).
If you've recently changed the type of paper that your using, this may help
-hit the "MENU" button
-scroll down to "Tray Settings", hit the center button
- "Paper type" will display, hit the center button again
- "MPF" will display, hit the center button again
- scroll to "Plain 1" then hit center button again.
