The manual and user's guides are here. You really don't need the CD since you can get all the stuff that came on it from the HP site.

How do I obtain and install YouCam?To obtain YouCam, do the following:
Open an internet browser, and go to the HP website.
Type SP37849 in the search field and then press the Enter key.
Select the search result Cyberlink YouCam Software.
Click the Download only option to save the file to a folder on the hard drive or desktop, then doubleclick the file's icon to begin installation. Follow the on-screen directions to complete the installation process.
Always check to make sure that you have the most recent version of the program, as well as the most recent version of WebCam drivers.
www.hp.com has the executables for both driver only and full features. If you're saying you dont have a high speed connection, I dont have a solution other than hardware upgrade.
