The steering has gone on my Valco pram - in fact it has been a problem since purchase in 2004/5 and I have been lazy about getting it fixed. The problem is where you push the gadget down to lock the front 3rd wheel into place to steer in straight line. When we first purchased it this every now and again would pop up. Now I am unable to manouvre the pram at all. At the shops I have to walk along pushing the pram on the back two wheels so I can move around other than in a straight line. Money is a bit tight at the moment to buy another pram - so I am hoping it can be fixed.
Where can I take the pram to be fixed?
Thank you.

you can buy hollow foam from clack rubber shops
and the wheel assembly from a wheels and castor retailer
take the pram,/stroller in and they should be able to match it
contact the manufacturer as well as they may have spares for the unit
Many Valco Baby models are equipped with 12 inch tires. Just like a car or bike, punctures can occur. A 12 inch inner tube or bicycle tire repair kit would be all you need to seal the puncture. If need be, tubes can be purchased from your local retailer or contact them at (USA) 800 610 7850 or email [email protected] Tubes are not covered under warranty.
hello i had this problem to i just went to the local hard ware shop with the toddler seat and found a bolt to fit through it and then got some wing nuts because i lost the knob aswell this works fine but i am goin to take the bolt to the lawn mower shop and get a knob to fit the bolt
I have just removed the front wheel and liberally greased the inside top to bottom with specific aluminium lubricant (which the bike shop told me was good for bearings) and immediate improvement. fingers crossed that it lasts. looking at other posts, make sure that you put the front wheel back on securely.
I went to the Valco site and wrote and email to the Support Team and they emailed me the instructions to collapse the Toddler seat with the pram. The pram now 'squashes' nicely!
Get onto the Valco website and email their technical help. They are very good and get back to you quite quickly. I am pretty sure that you can order new parts through there. The instruction manual that comes with the pram tells you how to replace the wheel. If you don't have it they will email you a copy.
