To listen to the aux input of the stereo you must press the source button. If you are listening to the radio it will go to CD when you press it if a cd is in the cd deck, if you keep pressing it you should get to the aux input.

I have an iPhone that I would like to be able to play thru my cd player. I got the aux 3.6 mm input jax. I connected the 2 and there was no music? Thanks

A couple of things might be happening: 1) Check that the miniplug tha you are using is STEREO (3 contacts), because otherwise, it will short the input. 2) Check that once plugged, you have the proper source selected in the pioneer headunit (AUX). 3) You will lose all of the iphone / ipod features unless you use the usb jack. I suggest that you buy the pioneer adapter to use these Apple devices.

Cannot get rear aux input source to work on pioneer deh-p6800mp. no option in function to able/disable that function. also would like to know the name of the type of plug that is used for front aux. input...

The type of plug on the front aux is a 2.5mm plug similar to what cell phones use. You need a stereo 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter, then you can run a chord with a 3.5mm jack on both ends to an iPod or some other type of mp3 player.

you can use an adapter from ipod to rca jacks and go through the aux input, then just select that source.

Cheers!

Cant find aux conection for ipod function pioneer car stereo deh-p6800mp just need help trying to get ipod playing

there is no direct input on this until. although you can purchase the aux input cable from the link i have posted which will allow you to plug in rca's into the rear. after purchasing2.gif this cable, you will have to turn on the aux option in the menu. which you may want to make sure that you can do beffore you order it.

1.with the power on, hold the source button until the until turns off
2. hold the audio button until a menu is opened. (hold function if audio doesn't work)
3. scroll through until you find the aux option and turn it on.
4. turn on the radio2.gif and scroll through the sources and make sure it is there.
5. buy cable and headphone to rca cable2.gif

or you can order the direct ipod adapter made by pioneer, which will let you control the ipod directly from the head unit itself. whichever you prefer http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&source=hp&q=pioneer+ipod&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=9877805020289826524&ei=_vPKSpzyKYe4NrzrpPMH&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=1#ps-sellers

The aux doesn't work

You can pull the stereo out of the dash and disconnect the wiring harness, wait a couple minutes and plug it back in, or disconnect your battery cable for a couple minutes. This should act as a reset like you would for your computer, and may solve your problem.

AUX inputs

Turn the ignition key to on or accessory position, turn the stereo off, then hold the function key for a couple seconds, the stereo will turn on and you scroll through the menu with the left and right arrow buttons and change settings with the up and down buttons
