Yep those are the ones, ususally if your looking @ the front its the first horisantal one that has the problem

COUNTERMEASURE: Re-solder the following components on PCB X34-415:
R43, R44, R46, R47, R48, R49, R50, R51, R55, and R57

Are you talking about the circuit that lights the display? If so, you need to resolder the surface mount resistors in the front right corner on the top of the board. Front right while facing unit with top off and CD deck out. you will see a series of surface mount resistors and they all are connected in series. All of them need to be resoldered. That will make the display work again.

there are about 8 - 10 surface mount resistors inside of the deck that need to be resoldered. They are on the front right of the board with the face toward you.

I can't get my Kenwood KDC-X590 out of demo mode. Help!

Press the [MENU] button for at least one second. Push the control knob toward [AM] or [FM] to select "DEMO." Press the control knob for two seconds to alternate between "DEMO ON" and "DEMO OFF."

Display screen not working

Sounds like you might have a bad connection where the faceplate connects to the unit, or the faceplate is bad.

This deck is in protect mode

A couple things may cause this:
If a speaker wire shorted out (either a voice coil or the wire itself is grounded; touches the vehicles chassis ground)
Solution: disconnect each speaker from the deck and see if it turns back on. 90% of the time thats the problem.

It could be overheating.

Do you have a Ipod shuffle?
Is the deck on random?/shuffle?

Try pressing the small reset button on the deck, its small a small black button you would need a pencil tip to reset!
