Solution : Replace the Imaging Unit The life of the Imaging Unit is approximately 20,000 pages for black and white, or 12,500 pages for color. When the life span of the Imaging Unit has expired, the Smart Panel program window will be displayed on the computer, indicating the unit needs to be replaced; otherwise, your printer will stop printing.
WARNING: Some parts inside the printer may be hot when the printer is powered ON, or after printing. Be careful not to burn yourself when working inside the printer.
To replace the Imaging Unit:

  1. Power OFF the printer. Press the power switch on the back of the printer to the OFF position (O).

If error like "Replace Transfer Belt" appears when you try to print something then it means that the transfer belt has come to its end and will need replacement. The best solution is to replace the belt. Even if the errors can be clear temporarily by reset procedure, possible that this error will appear again.

Below is the procedure to Reset the printer
1. Enter Service Mode by pressing [MENU] [#] [1] [9] [3] [4]
2. If Tech Mode Menu did not appear ...press the MENU button again. (You need to enter the key sequence quickly.)
3. Select Tech Menu
4. Select DataSetup
5. Arrow to Clear Counts and press Enter
6. Enter Password 1934
7. Arrow to Transfer Belt and press Enter.

The display will show Clearing Counts and then return you to the Tech Menu. Press exit several times to exit the Tech Menu. Turn off the printer then turn on again.

Thank you for using Fixya.

Program to reset unit imaging xerox phaser 6110 please

Image units can't be reset by software. There is a chip that needs to be replaced on the cartridge if you refill it with new toner. It should be available from the same place you got the toner. (I assume you refilled it and it still says it is out of toner)

Is it possible to reset xerox phaser 6110mfp imaging units

The image unit can be reset.
This is done by use of a small program that Xerox certified engineers use. The process is really simple and only takes about 30 secs, if you have access to the program ( I do... :) ) It can also be used to reset transfer belt life etc ....

Do not print full cover page

Have you tried the Transfer Unit.? That is what transfers the ink to the paper before it is fused by the fuser.

I would guess Trasfer Unit if it is all colors.. If it is one colr then maybe laser unit.
