Ctmarrero was correct! There are two fuses on the mother board, and the larger one was blown. I took off the mother board (easy) and soldered off the old fuse and replaced it with a new fuse holder that will allow me to replace it next time without soldering. The fuse is a 250V 15A. This cost me less than $5. The new "PCB Assembly Main" EAP3533829" board cost $181.82 on easyappliance parts.com. Bad design by LG, should have had a fuse holder so it can be replaced easily.....

fuse blew, if you have a contract have it repaired but try to keep the old mother board. (they just throw it away anyway, otherwise they are not authorized to work on LG units) you will see the culprit fuse. have it replaced in an electronic shop, (have them put in a fuse holder) and keep a few extra fuses Just in case... next time you could replace the board yourself.

Somewhere in the back there should be a removable plate which covers the computer that makes this unit work. I have a feeling that you will find something burnt on the "solder side" of the board.
