Hi i bought this tv second hand and when i got it back to my place i noticed that the blue is faded around the outer part of the screen also when doing the convergence the blue cross hairs dont show up to adjust. oh also and whites bleed. do i need new convergence ic or board or something else thanks
You either need a new Blue CRT or the Blue CRT circuit board. You can get both those parts at the following link for a real cheap price as they have them used which cost a fraction of what they would be new. Leave them a email with your model number and what youre needing they will respond back quickly.

Thats a very good possibilty that the coolant could be contaminated as thats a classic sign of bad coolant when you see the halo like that. It might be worth changing the coolant. however you can tell if the coolant is contalminated just by looking into the blue lens while its playing. You will notice bacterial growth which is very noticeable if the coolant needs replaceing.
Yes if it looks cloudy change the coolant. You will need to replace it with optical grade coolant, you cant substitute any other type of coolant or you will damge the CRTs.

before i drop 135 bucks on a blue crt. you think it could be coolant contamination? here are some pics
well i looked to see if the coolant was contaminated . the water was very cloudy almost gray on the sides and there was a dead bug in the water too! im guessing that means its contaminated
