Clearing the fax log on HP J6400 all-in-one fax machine

Once you print out the fax log it should clear the memory. Here are the instructions for printing the log.

To print the fax log from the device control panel
1. On the device control panel, press Setup.
2. Press the arrow key to move down to Print Report, and then press OK.
3. Press the arrow key to move down to Fax Log, and then press OK.
4. Press OK again to print the log

Hi,

The printer does not has Re-print option, although you can print the fax from Fax Log option.

Press the Setup button printer
Use Arrow key till you find Print Report - Press OK
User Arrow key till you find FAX Log - Press OK

How do I print the fax log?

Hi,

Follow the steps below to print Fax Logs for already received faxes

Press Setup , and then press 2 . This displays the Print Report menu.
Press the Right arrow button to scroll through the following report types:
- Fax Report Setup: prints the automatic fax reports as described in Generate reports automatically.
- Last Transaction: prints details of the last fax transaction.
- Fax Log: prints a log of approximately the last 30 fax transactions.
- Speed Dial List: prints a list of programmed speed-dial entries.
- Self-Test Report: prints a report to assist in diagnosing print and alignment problems.
After the desired report is highlighted, press OK .

Does the C6100 have fax history printout capablity?

Hi
Yes, Photosmart C6100 series does have the capability to print the fax history i.e. known as fax log, but its is only possible if you have not performed any resets recentlyt
How to print that?
Please follow the following steps to print it
1. Press the setup button on the printer
2. Go to the option that says 'Print Report'
3. Press Ok on print report
4. Scroll down using the arrow keys and go to fax log
5. Press Ok on fax log
6. This would print the history

try this
* Press Setup menu (setup button) on the printer.

* Go to the second option print Report.

* Select the 6th option Fax log. Press Ok.

* The fax log will print now.

On the printer itself hit the setup button (the one with the little wrench)
Then go to print reports and press ok
Then to fax log and press ok.

I don't think there's a log you can print but you can do the following. Not quite what you want, but better than nothing...

You need to set the fax confirmation option to log faxes before you send anything. The default option is off, so you won't be able to get a fax log for anything you've already sent unfortunately.

1. Press Setup
2. Press 2 then press 1. This displays the Print Report menu
3. Select Fax Confirmation
4. Press

to highlight one of the following, then press OK

Off Does not print a fax confirmation report when you send and receive faxes successfully. This is the default setting.
On Fax Send Prints a fax confirmation report for every fax you send.
On Fax Receive Prints a fax confirmation report for every fax you receive.
Send & Receive Prints a fax confirmation report for every fax you send and receive.

My HP Photosmart C6180 All-in One Series prints out a Fax Log after each Fax sent, How do I change the setting so that it prints a Fax Log only on request

Press the Fax Menu button twice to get to the Fax Menu to select or change Fax Options. I didn't see Fax Log in the manual, but I think they refer to it as a Fax Confirmation.

The only reference I saw in the manual was this:

"Note If you need printed confirmation that your faxes were successfully sent, enable fax confirmation before sending any faxes."

Print full year fax logs

most fax machines only keep track of faxes for 30 days or so many faxes then deletes the oldest one when a new one comes in. hope this helps to clairify.

The fax log or Journal is printed automatically after every 50 communications (tansmissions and receptions). If you want to print a copy of the journal;
Select Fax mode and press <Information> icon on the upper right corner of the touch panel.
Press <Print Journal>

In case you get an error report,

An error report is printed whenever the transmission or reception has failed.
If Transmission result report is on, a report is printed every time so you have a record of whether it was successful or not.
