Send it back for repair - should still be under manufactures warranty. Most warranties are between 90 days or a year.

You are still in warrenty, go to Toshiba website and get to customer services. Also - as its under 3 months you could take it to where you purchased it from and they should sort it, dont let them tell you to go to the manufacturer as in the legal sense they have a duty to you as you purchased from them and it's been under 3 months.
DONT open it up or let any technician open it up while its in warrenty, that will void the warrenty.

I have a toshiba satelight. The touchpad had stopped working with no reason. It is unlock, the touchpad is functioning, but it is not moving. when I put the usb mouse, it is working. . How do I get...

Maybe you should try reloading or updating the touchpad driver. I had to reload mine, on my Satellite, a few weeks ago because of the same problem. If you update and reload the driver and that still doesn't fix the problem then the touchpad itself may have gone bad.

Touchpad issues

What Toshiba do you have? Without knowing that it is would be hard to help you.

Is this a new laptop?

One suggestion I can say is: Check on near at the mouse pad area to see if there is any button that enables or disables features of the mouse pad.

Synaptics touchpad not working

Have you looked at the Device Manager to see if there's a problem with the touchpad?

Start -> Control Panel -> System -> click on Hardware tab -> click on Device Manager button. Do you see anything that indicates a problem with the touchpad?

Also, you might want to check the BIOS to see that the touchpad is still enabled. I doubt that this setting would have changed, but it's worth checking. When you boot the computer you should see a message that says something like: "To enter setup press XXX" where XXX is the delete key or some other key. Once you're in the BIOS poke around to see if you can find the settings for the Touchpad. Different manufacturers use different BIOS' so I cannot tell you exactly where to look.

Good luck.
