For Blue Yonder, Virgin, NTL you must only put the mailbox name in for the username.
Also, for the outgoing server do not use the blue yonder value unless you are at home. The outgoing server has to match the broadband supplier, unless you have your own website set up for email and most providers will accept this

IMAP and POP settings for USA.NET email account

Here are the steps on how to configure Outlook 2007 to connect to your USA.NET account using POP3 or IMAP, please do the following:

* Click on Tools> Account Settings.
* Under the Account Settings window, click on the Email Tab, click New.
* Select Microsoft Exchange, POP, IMAP, or HTTP > click Next.
* Under the Auto Account Setup, place a check in the box called Manually Configure Server settings or additional types, click Next.
* Select Internet Email, click Next.

Next, fill out the following information:

* User Information
Your Name: Your Name (e.g., Joe Black)
Email Address: [email protected] (e.g., [email protected])

accessing your email without your consent.

authentication and confirm that the radio button Use the same settings as my incoming mail serveris selected.

* On the Advanced tab, choose the following settings:

Unable to access email account on acer net book . i have a laptop running blueyonder broadband, when i try to connect my netbook to my outlook express email account i get unable to access the mail server.

Hi

This sounds like your user account settings are not correct and need to be input via the account management section to look like the following:

  • Customer Email format - [email protected]
  • Outgoing Mail Server - smtp.blueyonder.co.uk
  • Outgoing server type - SMTP
  • Incoming mail server - pop3.blueyonder.co.uk
  • Incoming server type - POP3
  • Password - for example, Rich4rd1

  • Thanks

The issue is: Unable to Send/Receive emails from winThe host 'POP3' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'POP3', Server: 'POP3', Protocol: POP3, Port:...

You are receiving this error because of one of two reasons:
    1) Your email account is not set up properly. Click on Microsoft Outlook, click on Tools, then Accounts. You will see a window with columns stating Account-Type-Connection. If an account is set up then click on it then click on Properties. Click server tab and you will see the SMTP server block and the POP3 server block. Both of these fields will read as follows: pop.XXXXX.net and smtp.XXXXX.net. Your Internet Service Providers name will be in the XXXX. If these are not set up properly then you cannot connect to send email. If they are filled out correctly then you need to call your Internet Service Provider and inform them of your situation. Their server is not working properly.

Don't forget to 4 star this solution.

Pop email settings with godaddy domain

I FINALLY GOT THE ANSWER! I ALSO HAVE A GODADDY EMAIL ADDRESS AND USE A HTC TOUCH PHONE FROM SPRINT. I've entered the following settings and my email now works like a charm! This is for a POP3 email address, not an IMAP email address.

You cannot send the email unless you have a sprint email address. Email must go through the Sprint server in order to be sent (incoming mail does not).

Call Sprint Tier II (877.345.7895) and ask them to set you up with a User Name and Password for the outgoing mail server. All the rest of the settings are as follows:

EMAIL SET UP Email Address: [email protected] Your Password: the password you use to access your go daddy account Check SAVE PASSWORD Click NEXT UNCLICK TRY TO GET EMAIL SETTINGS AUTOMATICALLY FROM THE INTERNET. Click NEXT. Your Email Provider: Internet Email Click Next Your Name: Dales Wife Account Display Name: 'GoDaddy Email" or whatever you'd like to call it so you can identify this account (you can have several email accounts sent to your phone). Click NEXT Incoming Mail Server: pop.secureserver.net Account Type: POP3 Click NEXT User Name: Again enter [email protected] Password: Enter your password again Check SAVE PASSWORD Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server: smtp.sprintpcs.com CHECK Outgoing server requires authentication UNCHECK Use the same user name and password for sending email Advanced Server Settings: DO NOT Check: Require SSL for Incoming e-mail DO NOT Check: Require SSL for Outgoing e-mail Click DONE to return to previous screen Click NEXT Outgoing Server Login: [email protected] Password: When you call Sprint Tier II they will ask you what password you'd like. Check Save Password. Automatic Send/Receive: I use every 5 minutes and it doesn't seem to run my battery down. Click FINISH. This has been driving me crazy for two months now so I really hope this information helps somebody else out. Best of luck! NOW, if anyone knows how to remove those annoying envelopes when I access my mail - I could use the help. There are three envelopes there (one for GoDaddy mail, one for Outlook and one for Picture Mail.) I do not use Outlook or Picture Mail and would love it if I could remove those.
