I have a navigon 2100 gps that will not bring up the menu for addresses after it has been turned on. How do I get it to bring up the address menu?

Sounds as if the system software that runs the GPS has been corrupted. Your device should have come with a CD that has software that can be reloaded or a utility that can be installed on the PC that connects to the navigon website to download and install the software for you.

Might want to start with that.

Had same problem with a navigon 2100 and after trying my daughters car charger it worked properly. Called Navigon and they are sending me a new car charger.

The fact that it has your home address in there doesnt really make a difference security wise unless the code breaker wishes to return it. You home is there for anybody to find with or without your home address from your gps. Unless it had some kind of personal info like ssn, credit card number or something like that(and it shouldnt) you shouldnt worry.

2 things that might help...use a paperclip and press the reset button (small hole on side, you'll feel a click) hold it for 5 seconds. THEN hold down the power on button for over 10 secs (keep holding while it shows version number) and it will perform a factory reset. You will possibly lose any settings and addresses, but better that than a locked GPS unit.
