A E000 coeds means the error history has detected any one of the following error codes 4 times :E001;E002;E003. The error can be cleared in the service mode. Contact Canon Consumer
Press "Additional Functions", press "#", then press the "Right Arrow" button till it says, "Printer", then press "Set" then press the "Right Arrow" button again until it says "Printer Reset" then press "Set" again, the display will ask you "Yes" or "No". Press the "Left" arrow for "Yes", then press "Set". Now, unplug the power cord and wait 5 seconds and plug back in. If this don't work, get a new fuser.
E000 is a high temp. error. My first advice would be to atempt to clear it in service mode:
Press ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS, #
Go to #7 Printer and press OK
Go to #4 Printer Reset and press OK
Yes = ( * )
Power cycle unit.
If this does not help, on most units you have to start looking at your Fixing Assy. or Thermistors. Make sure that you do not have a piece of paper wrapped around Upper Fixing Roller or and other foreign substance in that area. However, on this one, I would recomend replacing Fix Assy. as a whole if you can, FG6-8326-000 (for s/n starting with MQT/MQV/MRV/MRW) or FG6-8325-000 (for all other s/n). Don't see p/n for Thermistors. Also, heard of alot of other board and p/s issues with this model that can cause E001-E004 errors. See if you can clear it first. Good luck. Let me know how you make out.
