I have a single handle delta monitor shower head drip. I tried to fix with new washers and springs inside the handle which did not stop the drip. Now I have two problems, shower head still drips and with hot water. What can I do to fix this.

It the cartridge satyle or the ole small spring setup? Could be the spring are weak or stuck. Can purchase replacement kit or a new cartridge for carridge style.
A rebuild kit for a shower is pretty cheap for delta. the actual ball behind the handle maybe wore and not allowing it to seat properly and restricing water flow hot side.
Also if you take it appart the 2 washers and springs you might as well replace them also.
Replace washers and springs and the ball with shaft that handle fits to.
find the set screw on the handle loosen and remove handle, remove locking ring (a tool to do this comes with the replacement kit that you can buy from hardware store) remove the ball. You now have access to the washers and springs remove old washers and springs install new. reassemble in reverse. make sure not to overtighten locking ring.
You may want to replace the ball or cartridge whichever the case may be. Also be sure to use Genuine Delta parts as they will hold up much better than the aftermarket parts. I hope this helps.
Make sure the drip is continuous because the shower head will drip for a few minutes until it empties out. Replace the cartridge or washer kit if it keeps dripping.
call delta and describe the round plate and the screw locatios. they can identify model. you need a new cartridge they costs $25-60. They may send to you for free.
