Why won't my gas dryer heat?

Hi,
If your flame comes on for a few seconds & goes away, replace your solenoids. ($3.00)
If your flame doesn't come on at all, it could be the fuse(unsure of cost) Check the neg/pos lead with an OHM meter(multi meter), to see if there is continuity.
Let us know if this helps!

The clothes take 4 times the normal drying time to dry. Can you suggest anything, yhank you

If you are getting some heat periodically it is usually the dryer coils have failed. They tend to fail as they heat up. They are inexpensive and easy to replace. Here is a video on replacing the dryer coils. If you are getting no heat at all try this link Troubleshooting a gas dryer

Replace heater element

If you have a gas dryer, it does not have a heat element. Check the gas is on. The igniter, coil pack and burner are inside the dryer and may need to be checked.

My Whirlpool LGB6300 heats up but never comes back on as if the limit switch kicks on and doesn't allow it to remain hot.

Feel the coils on the gas valve. If they feel really hot to the touch then the coils are opening internally. They will cool off and work some more. Replace them.

Dryer spins no heat?

Inside the tub in the dryer itself is a heating element behind the screen. Try replacing it. Unplug the machine first though.
