X box games not playing in the first try

It could be that the chip is faulty or damaged and therefore it can't play. Sorry, but there's not a lot yo can do. If you know anyone with a gameboy color get them to test it

When do you see the grey box? When you are playing a game? If so, try changing the resolution on your screen through the Control Panel...personalization...the resolution scale. You may need a lower resolution in order for the game to be played. I used to get a box that said "signal out of range". It wouldn't go away until I lowered the resolution in order to play that particular game. You can always change it back to your original resolution. Did you have a message in the grey box.

keeping in mind it's this sort of blatent piracy that kills the game industry.

Sounds like 1- you have a virus or 2- your computer's graphics card is not sufficient for the game you are trying to play. Double check all the requirements, if you meet them you have a virus. Hope i've shed some light on the problem :)

Your video card is not supported for this game. You will need to upgrade. Check the needs of the game to determine where the problem is to get the right card.

this means that your screen settings are not compatible with the game. like 16 bit color to 32 bit color. set the screen settings so that you can play. Display properties would let u adjust these colors.

im not sure what to tell u if your warranty hasn't expired your best bet would to send it to microsoft and have them fix it or they will send u a knew one
