I have a Brother Intellifax 4100 I keep getting a change drum soon message and also the copies are getting a little dark does this mean that I need to change my toner cart. or do I have another problem

Hi Sandy58 this is the fix. all you have to do is: open the front cover (leave it open) and press the clear button then it will ask you NEW DRUM AND YOU ENTER 1 FOR YES and that's it good luck.

Once you have changed the drum unit on Brother 4100 you will need to keep the front door open and then press the option button. Your dispay should give show you a drum change option. press 1 to change drum and the machine should show "accepted" after a few seconds. Afterwards, close the door.
