I have problem threading my machine - the Husklock 936. I didn't get a DVD or CD with my machine. I'm trying to follow the Manual directions and seem to be following them exactly, but it isn't sewing.

    Can you be of assistance?

    Thank you,

I'm reachable at [email protected] or [email protected]

I too have the same problem. I purchased my 936 on Ebay, and the cassette was too damaged to use. I also have the manual but must not be following the directions correctly, because it isn't forming stitches. It looks like the machine was originally purchased in 2000. I also sent you an email. Thanks, again. Pat G

Hi,
Know these questions are old, but just wanted to tell you that you can get an 83 page huskylock 936 handbook online. Just search Google, and you'll find it. I see some eBay sellers sell these, but they are just copies they have made of the handbook that is available for download free online! I wonder what Husqvarna would think of people copying their documents and selling them... There's also a 28 page ebook on Specialty Techniques for Huskylocks which sounds useful. I just found these myself. They also sell a service manual, haven't found that online yet though.

I have the CD which illustrates the correct threading, step by step.  Do you have email?  I would be happy to share.
Let me know,

Threading huskylock 530 serger

Hello

Here is the link for the Huskylock 530:
http://manuals.husqvarnaviking.com/

Enter "huskylock 530" in the empty window and select "Search".
This will bring you to a new page. Click on the blue line containing the descriptions of all overlockers contained in the same manual.
You will be on a new page again where you may choose to download the manual.

Happy overlocking!

Huskylock 936 will not form a 4-thread overlock stitch

It may be difficult to solve a computer controlled machine with as many options as the 936 serger. Stepper motors control many of the functions. You can check out this video I made 4 years ago to get an idea of where to look.

also make sure the tension is adjusted correctly for the fabric

Instructions for threading the huskylock 34d overlock machine

I found this manual - http://www.sewingmachinemanual.net/

However, if you google 'how to thread a serger indi" you will get a video that will give you the basics.

Before you start, raise the antenna to it's highest position and open the tensions by setting to zero, or if your serger has auto tension, raise the presser foot to open the tensions.

I can't seem to thread the over and under lock correctly because the pictures are so small. Please advise. Huskylock 936 Viking Serger

I could not find a manual for your machine, but did find this video - it starts a little silly, but the instructions are presented very well.

Won't form a chain stitch

You 910 serger doesn't have the option for a Chain Stitch. It is a 2, 3, or 4 thread serger. You can do a good number of different stitches but a chain stich is not one of them.

If what you mean it that it won't "chain off", meaning sew with no fabric beneath the foot as you gently pull the thread towards the rear of the machine, that could be for a number of different reasons. First, change the needles and unthread the machine and start over. If the threads are not exactly where they should be, your serger won't sew correctly. A great video on threading your machine can be seen at:http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/mediafiles/huskylock/index_en.html
