If you search "free antivirus" - you may get the list of free antivirus available.
1. AVG may delete the infected files (may be windows system files) and your system may not start next time or make some error.

2. Avast is also a good antivirus - but it slows down the speed of computer after few days and always prompts for buying paid anti virus.

3. You may you Avira also - generally it is totally free and if you want to use free antivirus many days - I recommend Avira.

But, free antivirus is not good there are many viruses are escaped from this free antivirus and it attacks the PC. 7-10 years before when internet was not so popular then the antivirus was different but now the function of antivirus is different. Please buy a Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 with very very nominal price to secure your valued documents and system. You may get 30 days FREE trial (it'll work like full version). Don't take the same from your friend or used one - please activate the copy from your system - really it will work very fine. Free antivirus can protect against few viruses and most of the time virus affect the system having free antivirus.

I think I have given perfect suggestion to you. Many thanks for using FixYa.

Avast Free version is an excellent free AV Program in my opinion. You may obtain it all over, just Google "Avast Free".

PS: It's free for Home use only.

If you have more than 1G Ram memory you can use with success the AVG free edition ..which is a very good and efficient one ..
Here is the link for a free download...Be sure that you choose to install the basic protection and not the trial ..cause he trial is only available for one month ..The basic minimal protection has all that you need in it ..and it is enough for a proper defense ..
http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition-2011/3000-2239_4-10320142.html?part=dl-10044820&subj=dl&tag=button&cdlPid=11014801
It will work with a 512 M of ram too ..but it will slightly slow the functions but not that visible...the issue is that it is a little invasive and will scan almost all your operation including the browser searches..and this may slow a little your computer if it is under 512 M of ram ..
If you want basic protection free ..but you want a faster browser..you can use this edition of the NOD 32 ..It isnt an official license one ...but the fix it has in the folder will allow you to update for a long period of time with no problems ..
You have to install the antivirus...and right after that to run the fix...and it will ask to restart after ...thats all..I used it cause I like to have a faster computer and prefer o install the computer more often if a catch something ...I do it myself and it is not a financier issue for me ...but if it will be for better protection I think that AVG will outsmart the nod..32 one ....anyway most people say they are equal matched..
here is the link for the second one ...do not forget to install first and after that run the fix for the license..

There are several very good commercial anti-virus programs such as Nortons and McAfee.
Also there are freeware anti-virus programs available and you can upgrade to a commercial version. AVG is one I would recommend.
Please click on this link to download AVG :-

Recycler.exe virus 0xffd12566.exe

There are many things that might cause your PC to run slowly or restart at time and then. It could be a fragmented disk; fragmented registry; a virus, Trojan, or spy ware; high CPU and/or utilization due to too many programs running; high disk I/O; or something else.

To check your CPU and memory utilization, run Task Manager. You can start Task Manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL and then clicking on the Task Manager Button. In Task manager, click on the Performance tab and check CPU Usage and PF Usage. PF Usage is an indicator of memory usage. If one or both of these is high, click on the Processes tab, and sort the columns by CPU or Memory to see what processes are consuming the resource. If you are not sure what the process "Image name" is for, Google the name and you should find what the process is for.

If your CPU and memory usage are reasonable, then you may have a different issue. Even if you running anti-virus software, it may be beneficial to scan your PC with another scanner to check for viruses. No anti-virus software is 100% perfect at catching everything. Here are a few good free online virus scanners that you can run to check your PC:

An excellent free utility for overall system maintenance is Advanced System Care Free ( http://download.cnet.com/advanced-systemcare-free/3000-2086_4-10407614 .html ). I use this utility on a regular basis.

You should always run anti-virus software. There are several very good, free, anti-virus products available. One good source to read editor and user reviews, and safely download anti-virus software, is http://download.cnet.com -- search for free antivirus software. In addition to the reviews, you can see how many people are downloading the software, which is another good indicator of how popular it is.

I have used AVG Free ( http://download.cnet.com/avg-anti-virus-free/3000-2239_4-10320142.html ) , and Avast Free ( http://download.cnet.com/avast-free-antivirus/3000-2239_4-10019223.htm l ). Both are very good, and completely free. At present I am using Avast on all of my home computers.

I have heard good things about Avira AntiVir Free ( http://download.cnet.com/Avira-AntiVir-Personal-Free-Antivirus/3000-22 39_4-10322935.html ), and it has good ratings, but I have not personally tried it.

In addition to Avast or one of the other free anti-virus software packages, I also run Ad-Aware ( http://download.cnet.com/ad-aware-free-internet/3000-8022_4-10045910.h tml ). Ad-Aware is a free anti-malware, anti-spyware package.

Want to scan my computre i have a virus

Disable your antivirus system (if any) and download the comofix file from this link. Extract the zip file, run the combofix.exe file and follow the on screen wizard.
Note that this file is not an antivirus softare, it's just a clean up tool. After the computer has been fixed you have to install an antivirus software, I suggest Avast in case you need a free solution.

In case of a problem or clarification or further details needed, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.
If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

How to clean my computer virus. my cmptr is slow.

HI,
The computer can be cleaned from virus, by using a good anti virus software and a combination of anti spyware and malware softwares. Sometimes one anti-virus program may not be good enough to protect your PC. The best approach is to first back up all your important information like documents and pictures to a DVD or external harddrive.
You can use the following tools:
