Go to maint. mode. Press Clear/Stop 1 0 7 . press Start key(hold) until you see maint. mode displayed. look for Fuser SC reset. reboot machine.

SC542 is a warm up error from the fuser.

SC 870 is an address book error.

Turn the power off on the copier. Wait 30 seconds and then turn the power back on. See if it goes away.

Let me know if it doesn't.

press clear (yellow) and press 1,0,7 and press and HOLD the stop button 5 secs. (red) press 1 when u see the copy sp mode and press 7 (datalog) and press ok, look for the sc/ jam counter reset. press the execute 2x. turn of the machine in the main switch (orange switch on the lower front side) the shortcut mode is by pressing 7807 na press execute

This SC is issued if one of following conditions occurs: The fusing temperature rises 8°C or less in 1.5 seconds; and this continues 5 times consecutively. -or- The fusing temperature has not reached 45°C within 9 seconds (after the fusing lamp comes ON while the machine is warming-up). -or- The fusing unit does not attain reload temperature within 35 s. (normal temperature) or 65 s (lower temperature - the thermistor output is less than 18°C) after the fusing temperature control starts.

5. Execute "Reset Fuser Unit" with the "Engine Maintenance" menu if the fusing unit is replaced.
"Menu Mode" can be executed by depressing the following key sequence while in ready
condition: Clear/Stop, 1, 0, 7 and Color Start. (Press and hold each key till a beep is heard.)
6. Scroll to Engine Maintenance - Enter
7. Scroll to Reset Fuser Unit - Enter

Reseting SC 543 error code on Ricoh copier

Press CLEAR MODE(yellow) key,
Press 1 , 0 , 7
Press and hold down CLEAR/STOP (red) key for more 5 sec.
Press in the SP Mode( on the touch pane)

Go to sp5810 and reset SC code

Open the front door turn OFF the power main switch, and turn it ON
