Try removing the battery and card and wait 10 minutes before reconnecting. If that doesn't help, see if the issue goes away by reinstalling the Windows Media Player.

Try this and let me know how it goes..

It could be that the SD card is corrupted as well..Yu may need to either reformat and re-load the songs, or buy a new SD card..

  • Anonymous Jun 09, 2008

You will need to insert the SD card into a card reader, which plugs into the USB port of your computer. Go to Windows Explorer (right click Start button and select 'Explore'. Now find your SD card from the left side panel (usually after the DVD/CDROM drive). Right click and select format. If your SD card is Ok, then it should reformat. If there is an issue with the card, then you will not be able to format it.

Once re-formatted, you can drag and drop your music files into the card.

I actually have a pda here (media player 10 yeah) and I could make a video for you on that. But first lets make sure I understand your problem. Can you be more spesific?

  • Ekse Jun 09, 2008

try reconnecting the sdcard. Also you could try a reset.

  • Ekse Jun 09, 2008

Turns out I had windows media player 9 on my pda, might need to upgrade first but heres basicly what it looks for me. and how it works for me.

I hope this helps if it doesn't I hope it helps you to explain your problem in more detail.

  • Ekse Jun 09, 2008

Please watch the video I just posted you.

  • Ekse Jun 09, 2008

you might need to perform a hard reset - it will remove all your files in the phone but everything on the sdcard will stay there.

that will reset the media player and you should be back to normal unless theres a problem with the storage card.

Try another card. or format it on your pc and try again.

  • Ekse Jun 09, 2008

plug the storage card to your pc, open my computer, find the storage card and right click and select format. Its fat32. quickformat, very simple operation, just backup the files on the card first as its going to be empty after this.

  • Ekse Jun 09, 2008

you can also format the sdcard in your pda with a 3rd party software like

I recently downloaded about 60 songs onto a new 4GB micro SD card for my sister's Disney MP3 player. I've double checked to make sure the music files were properly formatted from iTunes (AAC version) and...

I would stick to iTunes if that is where you downloaded the music.

In iTunes right click on one of the songs you purchased and click in "get info". At the bottom of the "Summary" tab it says Where the file is located. Does it end in .mp3

If not, you will probably need to convert them into .MP3 format before they will play on the Disney MP3 Player.

To do this:
  1. Open iTunes Preferences.
    Windows: Choose Edit > Preferences.
    Mac: Choose iTunes > Preferences.
  2. Click the General tab, then click the Importing Settings button in the second section of the window.
  3. Change the Import Using: to MP3 Encoder
  4. Click OK and OK again
  5. Find the song you want to convert to MP3 and select it by clicking once, not a double click
  6. Click the "Advanced" menu item at the top of the window
  7. Choose "Create MP3 version"
Use that MP3 version on the Disney MP3 player and see if that helps.

If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response.

Thank You,
Brandon

Won't play all songs

Possible that the files have been saved inthe wrong way. If you have them again in the PC , delete off all the files you had sent, format th device or erase off all files, scan for any virus in the device before loading back the music files with the PROPER METHOD OF COPY AND SAVE, USE THE RECOGNISED PROGRAM for the ipod- the ones the songs are playing presently. Need help puting music on ACC file

To convert music to AAC files you have to download itunes, if you dont allready have it, when you have done that play the songs you want to convert one by one in itunes, has you play them right click on the song, then right click create AAC version, when the track as been converted you will hear a bell sound, then right click again and click show in windows explorer, the songs you convert will go into a windows folder, the best way to do it is when the song goes into the folder drop and drag them onto your sd card, then as the songs go into the folder do the same, you can put them in a music file on your sd card to make it easy to open when in your dsi, when you have all the songs on your sd card, pop it into your dsi, then open the music folder and play your songs, hope this helps you cheers Roger M.

My mp3 on my pantch matrix wont play the music from the external

I had the same problem. I put music on my SD card, and whenever I tried to play it, my phone would reset. I looked through the files, and found that the songs i had bought on iTunes were all in MP4 format. I downloaded the 4media mp4 to mp3 converter, and converted the files. When I put the card back into my phone, the music player worked perfectly!

Note: MP4 files DO NOT have question marks beside them in the phone. The only way you can tell is to highlight the files on a computer. Hope this was a help!!

I'm confused. Are you saying that you can't play files on the SD card from the computer itself? Or, the songs won't play on the mp3 player once the SD card is loaded into the mp3 player?

First, make sure the songs are in the right format - each mp3 player will only play files of a certain type. Your best bet is to only use Mp3 format files -everything else is going to give you one problem or another.

Second, there is a size limit to what type of SD card the mp3 player can read. 2GB SD cards are the absolute maximum that this player will handle, and probably only 1GB even.

Hope this helps a little.

Transferring MP3 files from PC "C" drive "My Music" folder to SD card

you may want to try downloading only those that didn't download the first time. Sometimes when you try to download a large file (all the songs) it causes the "error message" you talk about. You may want to delete files already downloaded, or save the files downloaded to a different file folder, and try the download again.

Saving music on my micro sd..

The only way the music can be played on a cell phone is if it is in mp3 format. you also have to list the songs individually (they cannot be separated into folders). to listen to the music you should have some sort of music player on the phone that will play the songs.
