I have been using sony vaio laptop for 2 months, but my laptop does not function at all. as soon as i trun on the laptop it displays the message that your disk should be checked for consistency. After that it displays operating system not found..i even tried to install new windows 7, even then it does not worked .What can i do? pleased help me.......

i.e., they will repair anything (including your disk-drive) at their cost.
Take it back to where you purchased it, and file a warranty-claim.

Vaio care, vaio sat survey and vaio luncher have been stopped wor

I had the same problem , i was using a spanish date format.
I changed the date format to an english format (mm/dd/yyyy) and now all vaio programs work ok at start up and afterwards.

Save Data if possible.

Use Restore System; Restore Computer to Factory "New" Condition.. Sont Vaios have a Key Prompt which you hold down while booting and the Replacement Software already on a Sector of the Hard Drive. Check THe Manuel for this OR CALL SONY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND JUST GIVE THEM THE MODEL NUMBER AND ASK THEM WHICH BUTTON YOU PUSH ETC TO RESTORE THE COMPUTER TO "FACTORY CONDITION"
