Did you download the disc when you bought the computer,or was it originally on another computer and you can't find the disc?Just by the minimum requirements needed to process the pictures,it sounds a little old.Everything is changing as fast as computers change,or if you will,as Bill Gates changes his underwear, lol. If it is a new HP which it sounds like, you need to contact them and they should have an updated version. That happened to me when mine fried last year and the scanner needed updating. When we bought the new one,we only wanted hardware 'warranty'.Not only do you have to pay for that, the software 'warranty' is $50/year with Dell.If they say that you do not have the software 'warranty',keep calling back and someone will eventually provide it free. That's how I was able to do it.Good luck! I cannot connect Olympus SP500 via USB port to Toshiba Satellite computer using Windows 7. Error Message: The Software is unable to find Olympus digital camera connected to a USB port on your computer.

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Having gone over two months without a response to my query, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader solved the problem.

Problem with the Olympus FE-115 Digital Camera my

Unfortunately, the picture error message means that the image been modified such that the camera can't read it. It is possible that the camera thinks the picture was taken by another camera. Since the picture is still good when you check it with the computer, it hasn't been damaged. Archive the picture and make sure to back it up after it goes on the computer. (If the computer couldn't view it, then you'd need some sort of file recovery software and might not get the entire image back.)

Manuals for the FE-115 are available from the Olympus site: http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_archived_product_details.asp?id=1227&fl=8 .

I hope this helps.

Unable to display imges when connected to computer.

Please see the following blog article, as it describes the use of a card reader as a much easier, faster, and less error prone way to download your photos. In fact there are several important reasons discussed in the article for using a card reader vice downloading from the camera. USB Card readers are also very inexpensive these day, with cost virtually not an issue:
