Cannnot get router to set up wireless on my laptop. Normally, type in linksysfix.com/ela and follow instructions on screen. did not work this time. HELP!

Its not necessary to access linksys.com Your new laptop if has wireless card will read network automatically and connect with password if you set up for your router. If no password set up then your laptop should be online as soon as its powered on!
Most router problems can resolved by power cycle.
Check if your laptop new has wireless card and is enabled!

on any standard UNSECURED router, all you should have to do is click connect under "Network connections" in Control Panel. However, if the wireless router you would like to connect to is SECURED (password protected), you will just need to type in the password required in the connections when prompted.
This is assuming the other computer you are trying to add is wireless capable.
if you already have a wireless setup the latop (if it has wireless) will pick up the wireless router (if security on the wireless network, just type in the security password). Type 192.168.1.1 into your browser to access the routers configuration page.
