Our Whirlpool Duet frontloading washer just stopped working. It was working fine till I had to hit "pause" to add a peice of clothing that had dropped on the way to the washer. After that it wouldn't relock or start it just keeps flashing the time left on it. The "add a garmet" and "wash" list is on on the status panel. But no matter what I do, it wont start. Unfortunately, all my clothes are in their sitting in water that has detergent in it.. I'm sure that isn't super great for it to just be sitting in the detergent. I've tried holding down the start button, the pause button and the control on button and nothing is working.. Please help!!!
My biggest problem is that I cannot unplug it because the plug is behind the washer/dryer and there is no way on earth I can move that thing by myself.. (The only other people here is my elderly mother and her elderly boyfriend... ) I don't know what to do.. :'(My biggest problem is that I cannot unplug it because the plug is behind the washer/dryer and there is no way on earth I can move that thing by myself.. Switch the power off from the power outlet for a few minutes , then switch on and reset the wash cycle . Front loaders are not designed to add clothes mid wash.
Hello, we are sorry to hear that you are experiencing this problem. We would recommend having a certified technician out to take a look at the Washer and give the appliance a proper diagnosis. If you would like further assistance you can send your name, phone number, address, model/serial number and the date of which you purchased the Washer to [email protected].
Just F on its own?
Try to clear it doing the following:
Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Select
DRAIN/SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer.
Re-select cycle and select HOLD TO START. If the problem
remains, call for service.
Hope this helps comment back if you need further help,
the add a garment light will stay on through most of 1st wash this lets you know that if you forgot something it can still be added ..if not already overloaded..by pressing pause the door will unlock and allow something to be added ..yes it's normal
try hitting pause cancel twice if that doesnt work turn the dial around all the way to off try to unplug the washer if all that fails the remove the three torx screws remove the lower panel and reach up where the latch is after unpluging the washer on the bottom of the latch is a tear shaped tab pull it down till it clicks that will unlock the door
