I have Ice on the bottom shelf of the freezer.

your freeze have cooling matchine problem.

It sounds like unit is not properly going into defrost or your evaporator fan motor is starting to go bad

because your drain hole is stopped up clean all of the ice from the area and flush with hot water

usually a clogged drain line Also poor door gaskets.

On this unit the shelves are the cooling coils and carry the refrigerant (freon) through the system. They will attract the warm moist air by design, so if you have an air leak in the door or elsewhere it will tend to build up there first.

This being said you need to check something else first. Make sure the other shelves are cold. If they are frosted and cold like normal then you most likely have a door that is not closing all the way or a bad seal. If the lower shelves are not cold then you have a system problem, typically a refrigerant (freon) leak that is causing the top shelf to absorb most of the work and not enough refrigerant to flow to the bottom shelves.

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove bottom shelf from fridge and remove the styrofoam..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the Freezer is because the water has been leaking into the freezer instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you need any further assistance. 7 should be the coldest settiing but when adjusting allow 24 hours for the temp to adjust

You should to check the Whirlpool Gladiator Freezerator's door sealer to make sure all rubber or plastic seal very well to prevent air humidity come in to build up frost fast. Also, you have to defrost completely and wipe with cloth or paper towel to absorb all waters out and let it dry completely to prevent frost build up.

Sounds like a defrost system problem. Could be related to defrost timer, heaters or defrost thermostat. Have it serviced.
