My nikon d60 just started giving out blurry pictures no matter what setting it is on. The subject must be completely still to get any good shots. It use to not do this, what can I do?

If your subjects are not all the same distance from the camera there is a possibility your aperture is is too open. This results in a very shallow depth of field. Use f-stops of f/8 or smaller (higher numbers)

since the camera has many adjustment, Read carefully the owner manual and go to the section troubleshooting and see the different adjust need for to fix it problem

Tracking a subject is one thing but, taking an action picture is something else altogether. You will need to set the ISO to a higher number to force the shutter to set a faster speed stop the action.

first thing you can do is to try reverting cam back to factory settings.to do that initialize the camera.it's under menu>setup settings>main settings1>initialize. after initializing,set cam to auto adjustment mode (green camera icon in mode dial). what to avoid when taking pictures:
1.subject too close (use macro if needed)
2.insufficient light
3.subject movement
4.camera movement (that's caused by you)
5.incorrect camera setting
5.incorrect camera operation
btw, before you take a picture,press the shutter button halfway down first to give the cam ample time to focus.you'll see a flashing green indicator on the screen that means cam is focusing.when the indicator stops blinking cam is ready for the shot.press shutter button all the way.review your picture.if still blurry, you may try changing iso (for dark or fast moving subject, note:the greater value the noisier the picture gets), metering mode and focus settings by going to the shooting menu (press menu when your in P or program mode). hope this helps.tnx:)

turn the dial to P mode and do flash photography this should solve it.

Set the camera on a firm surface and take a few test shots. Are they clearer? If so, then you are moving when you press the shutter button.

The main difference between the two shooting conditions is the amount of light you have to work with. For the indoor action shots, set the ISO setting to the highest available through the menu (1600 ISO) to maximize the ability of the camera to work with the diminished light. The other (but more expensive) way to achieve better indoor shots is with the use of a "faster" lens, ie one with a lower maximum f stop number (f2.8 is faster than f3.5, for instance). Also ensure you are shooting with your lens at its widest f stop setting (lowest number).

Try switching to Shutter Prority (S) with a fast shutter speed.If the light is not so good, up the iso to 800 to gain that faster shutter speed..

You do not say the lens in use ? if VR, make sure its switched on or use a tripod.

looks like a viewfinder has an issue. If you have recently bought the thing just return it and get a new one. If not possible to replace , i recommend visiting Nikon authorised service center.
Could be something in the path of pentaprism.

I will try to help you, but please understand that my experience is with Nikon film cameras. Assuming that the D60 works in a manner similar to a Nikon 35 mm body and that Sigma macro lens work like Nikon macro lens, you should be able to determine the usable subject to lens distance by experimentation. First, make sure the lens is in the macro mode. To do this you must set the auto-focus mode control to the manual focus mode (see your manual). On Nikon lenses, you must first set the focus ring to infinity, then move slider switch, which has two positions marked; "normal" and "macro., to the macro position. You should now be able to rotate the focus ring to the macro range. Use the zoom ring to zoom in and out and focus with the focus ring. The the range over which the lens to subject to lens distance will yield an in focus image will be rather limited and in the range of an inch or so to 6 or 8 inches.
