Alienware computer my computer and the monitor both come on and the monitor says "no signal detected" i have put in one new NVIDIA GEFORCE 8600GT but left one remaining graphics cards (has 2). turned it on and it did the same. i have checked all cords and made shure the monitor was plugged in all the way.....help?

Please try connecting monitor to known working CPU and determine if problem is with CPU (Graphics card etc) or monitor.Signal cable can also be a problem.

Physically remove nvidia 8600gt video card from

The video card is in the AGP slot on the motherboard.
There will be a plastic clip at the back of the slot that needs to be pressed to release the back of the graphics card.
When you insert the new graphics card this clip should automatically lock in the new card.

Try holding the function key ( fn) and pushing the F4 button. This very well may fix your problem.
