What input are you using and what is your input source? If you are using your computer as a source, you need to sync up output display resolution with projector resolution. Also check to make sure that you are outputting through VGA out on PC, particularly if it is laptop. You need to change display settings for dual or second monitor output.

Infocus lp425z projector pushes latop display to left quarter of output image

Usually this is a hardware acceleration setting problem on the 'advanced' properties setting in your 'screen resolution' properties on your computer. Re-set the hardware acceleration to the 2nd setting and this should fix your issue. We have this regularly when we project on a double projector system and the one projector keeps shifting everything left until we adjust the hardware acceleration settings on the computer. No more issue.

Hi Connect your computer monitor out VGA connector to Computer input VGA connector of projector. Select source in projector (with remote) as computer/RGB/VGA as terminology used on the projector..
The projector will work as large screen projection monitor for the projector.
If you want to use monitor and projector both, you can use 1IN-2 OUT VGA distribution amplifier (Commonly called as "VGA Splitter"

HOW TO USE DAYLIGHT PROJECTOR IN STEP BY STEP

Hi LCD projectors have revolutionized the audiovisual industry. With a few clicks of the mouse and strokes of the keyboard, whatever you type on your computer appears instantly on a projection screen in real time. If you have never experimented with an LCD projector, however, do not worry. You can learn how to use an LCD projector.

  • Plug the LCD projector in to a power outlet. Completely plug the power cord in to the back of the LCD projector.
  • Step 2Use a VGA cable (usually a 15-pin male to male) to connect your computer to the LCD projector. Insert one end of the cable into the VGA connector (sometimes this connector is blue) in the back of your computer and do the same in the back of your LCD projector. If the LCD projector has more than one VGA connector, choose the one that says something like "line in" or "in from computer."
  • Step 3Power on your laptop. Turn on the LCD projector. It may take a couple of minutes to warm up. Open the computer file or document you wish to display. When you are ready to project your image, press "Function" (Fn) plus "F8." This combination of keys sends your computer's display to the LCD projector.

Projector fires up, menus display, search finds the attached computer but all that displays is a blank screen, no desktop. We had a lightning storm last week that spiked a network switch and two printer...

try brand new cables. I think a spike would possibly do this, doubtful though since the projector itself is not fried. also try reflashing the unit with the newest firmware.

I get a blue screen on my misubishi sl1 projector lamp and no signal appears on the screen

    Hi

Make sure the Computer Input is set to VGA, Computer, or RGB (depending on which projector model you have).

There are also known known hot-key combinations used to switch the laptop to its external VGA mode. If you are using a laptop.

Check the cables as well if properly connected both on computer and projectors end.

    Hope this helps

Projector signal goes bad after 25 minutes

It appears the projector was over heating. Why it affected the DVD signal and not the computer signal, I do not know. The other confusing thing was the projector was hanging off the ceiling and should have had plenty of circulation. When I climbed up to check for excessive dust, I found that the lens cap had been placed over the intake vent. I blew off the dust and removed the cap. After running the projector for an hour, it appears that the problem has been solved.

first try a new vga cable. if the problem persists, go into the menu and find the settings to that computer output. chances are it's on component. set it to vga. if that doesn't help, reset back to factory default, then set it to vga.

    Multi-media projection without image

A great deal of the time DVD players are very restrictive on outputting to multiple sources due to copyright protection. In my experience, if you use your laptops function keys to toggle output (For example, on my laptop, I hit FUNCTION + F4 to cycle between LCD,LCD+VGA,VGA), you should be able to disable the laptop's LCD display, only outputting via the VGA cable. It's worked for me with my HP VP6111 and Windows XP in the past. Hope this helps!
