Enter you're bios & open you're manual to page 4-32. Set you're
configuration to dual video card. Use the AL software to tweak you're settings in windows. If you find this not helpful than please call Asus tech at: 1-812-282-2787, M-F 8:00AM-5:00PM EST. Unlike other companies you will not be on the phone very long. Please have the S/N of the board handy. This is located on the board, on the LTP port (White sitcker).

Your SLI drivers as you mentioned were installed when your chipset drivers were installed. (NVIDIA nForce CK804 Chipset Driver). If you use 1 PCI-E graphics card the bios will need to be adjusted to [Auto]. Using 2 PCI-E graphics cards you must install the EZ selector card correctly. See page 4-20 section 4.4 Adjust; SLI Configuration. Than see section 4.4.6 in your manual Open the Asus link below if you need drivers for your M2N-E SLI; http://www.asus.com/Search.aspx?SearchKey=M2N-E%20SLI This may seem a bit tricky but its not. First time around the bios settings using SLI graphics cards will appears tough but you'll get it. Cheers! Mike
Your Motherboard has an onboard video chipset made by Nvidia. Nvidia and ATI have a history of not playing nice with each other.
I have 2 possible solutions for you.
1.) Remove the Radeon card and use the Nvidia onboard card (Essentially a Geforce 6100)
2.) Enter the bios (Usually done by hitting <Delete> or <F12> while the computer is booting up) Your Motherboards manual can tell you for certain. Then find the options for onboard video and disable it.
Then boot up the PC, When it say starting Windows press <F8> to bring up the windows boot menu. Select "Start in Safe mode" Once this loads up open the device manager, look under "Display adapters" find the entry for the Nvidia adapter, right click on it and select either "Uninstall" or "Disable this device"
Which you choose depends on your personal preference Whether you like Nvidia or ATI boards better.
If it makes your decision easier a Geforce 6100 is roughly equivalent to a Radeon 8500 in performance.
Hi tbird, yes you can run the 8800 GT's even if the interface is 1.0
The 8800 GT is back wards compatible to the 1.0
Suggest you install the latest software drivers for the 8800 GT. http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_8800gt.html
It wouldn't hurt to add a case fan to feed the two cards fresh air.
Hate to dash your hopes, the chipset (northBridge) is Nvidia and the PCI express slots are also controlled by the Nvidia chips, the 2 pci-express are nvidia-sli supported.
manual Page XI (11 of 140) Also page 18 (38 of 140) and finally
hi check for the BIOS settings for having both the cards work ..if not then try interchanging the card & slots with each other to check if one of it is faulty?
Bye Let me know
thats 64 bit for ya.. welcome to buggy driver "if they support (beta)it".. chipset, then video driver.. also vista has UAC issues. right click install as admin. good luck (i dont like vistuh)
This video card only functions as SLI with the Gigabyte motherboard GA-K8NXP-SLI.
If you go to this website, it will tell you more about it.
