1. 1 Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge to fade away before putting your hands or metal tools inside the chassis.

2. Step 2 Pin down the exact location of the jam. The three hot spots for a jam are the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and the print carriage, or between the print carriage and the output tray.

3. Step 3 Take off the front paper tray if the sheet got stuck while it was still in the front area of the printer. If the sheet jammed here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4. Step 4 Pull on the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a chunk of it deeper in the machine.

5. Step 5 Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed tray area and the print carriage of the all-in-one printer. Carefully remove the jammed paper from the machine.

6. Step 6 Use the carriage access door to reach a jam further inside the all-in-one printer. You may need to move the print carriage out of your way to clear the jam.

7. Step 7 Return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.

Says paper jammed...there is no paper in the machine

Open the top of the printer up and you should find instructions to remove the print cartridges, remove them and proceed to check behind and underneath them for anything that may block the path the paper would take, also look into the the far end of the printer (from where the paper goes in) to see if any small bits got stuck there!

It said "remove the jammed paper from the feeder"

You have to look carefully and you must find there a small piece of paper that block microswitch
Pull the tray completely and check for a jammed paper there.

My printer says the number2 the e what should i do i have replaced the ink

E, 2 is an alert that the paper is not as being correctly loaded into the paper tray. Remove your paper and get a fresh, dry supply of new paper. I suggest using only five pages or so, and separate them to remove static. Place them into the feed tray and get the guides so that the paper is properly aligned...not too tight and not too loose. Try printing. If you continue to get the error code, remove the paper and make sure there are no obstructions anywhere in the paper path. Sometimes when users get a jam, they snatch or roughly remove the page and tear tiny pieces off that remain inside and can block sensors. If you find any bits of paper, remove and cycle the power and then try to print again.

My printer won't catch the paper to print. It make all the noise, but won't pull the paper through.

Hi,
You can try the following. Remove all paper from the printer and turn printer off. Try opening the printer as if you were to remove the ink cartridges and check for any paper jammed in the printer. If there is a paper jammed try to remove it. if there is no paper jammed in the printer then try the following remove all paper from the feeder and flip the printer upside down and shake it a little. Sometimes things will fell inside of the paper feeder and will block the paper path thus causing the printer not to be able to pull the paper.

Paper won't load evenly

Paper fragment or object in paper path, check paper path is clear, one notices where paper beginds to go side ways and there is the block, turn upside down to remove any object, if this fails clean rubber feed rollers with damp cloth, 10-1 odds paper path blockage.

Good luck

Printer paper jam. i cleared the paper but it still says i have a jam. i cant print. please help

Remove all of your paper and using a can of compressed air, blow out the entire paper path. Quite often either a small piece of either paper or dust will block the sensor.

My brother laser printer HL-5050's paper light is flashing, which usually indicates a paper jam. i've checked 5 times and there is no paper jam. have shut off printer and restarted 3x. when i try to print,...

Hi
I've nearly the same problem....My printer(HL5050)  takes only a little bit of the sheet, then paper led flashes.
I've found a block into the paper feeder. This printer is impossible to disassemble.!!...even if I've the service manual, because for taking away a simple pressed paper block , it's necessary disassembling  almost all the machine!!! No comment
So I'd an idea:
I've sprayed into the paper feeder a great quantity of a cleaning spray (without oil) , in order to get the paper block wet, then , by means a school-book plastic cover, used like a paper sheet,  and  manually acting on the gear, I've pulled this plastic sheet up and down several time (spraying in the same time)in order to  remove these hard paper blocks. Now my feeder seems free. Tomorrow I'll try to test it.....
Regards

PS To do this it's necessary the only removal of left cover, in order to reach the gear which allows the paper to advance manually.
