Question about HP LaserJet 4 plus Printer
You have a parallel interface on the printer. It was commonly referred to as a Centronics 36 pin cable. Your computer probably doesn't have the interface to support it. The fix is to get a cable that will work from your computer to the printer. For this you will need a USB to Parallel (Centronics) cable.
It will be hard to go to a store and locate one but I know you can find them all day long on eBay for under $10.
Try searching for "USB to Parallel" cable and see what you come up with. If you're savvy on eBay, you might want to pick up some extra toner while your there as well. The part # for your printers toner is C3903A.
Nice black and white printer that should serve you well for quite a while. Not to great doing graphics but B&W it does rather well.
Good Luck

Another note: You will not need drivers for this printer as Microsoft has them built in.
Make sure your cable is connected to the printer, the printer is on and then plug the USB end into the computer. Your computer will automatically let you know it has found new hardware. At this point, you're going to manually select the appropriate HP model from your list of available printers. Once you've selected your printer, be sure to go to its properties and print a "Test Page" to ensure all is working correctly.
There ya go
Already found them on Ebay and I am purchasing now. Can't thank you enough!
