Chances are that you are experiencing the same problem as me. If it is a loud humming sound, the rear bearings are worn out. I haven't repaired mine yet, but I have new bearing hubs and hope to get it repaired next week, Hope this helps. Does yours have high mileage? Mine has 154,000.
Diesel--Yes!! And it is hid behind the headlight on the right side(passenger side). I cannot get to mine. I am going to have to remove the air filter box and try to get mine out. But I have had some repair work done on mine, so I don't know if all of them are hid that good or if the repair shop shoved it up there more. Needed it real bad the past couple of days.
Not worth repairing until the root cause of the failure is proven.
The reason being is that you can have it happen again if caused by any of the devices attached to it, such as inefficient speakers.
If this problem began sunday night or monday morn. then your issue is being worked on by sony as we speak. thousands of ps3`s were effected by the Feb-March date change, (including mine). a lot of the repairs have been made already,( including mine!). hold tight. sony hopes to have all repairs completed by late Tues. good luck!
So is mine.... you have two choices... either take the switch out and try to repair it ( not easy and often un repairable) or replace it with new switch. I've been plugging and un plugging mine for the two days i've needed it.
I have a u770 with a broken lens. I would like to either buy yours to repair mine or I am willing to sell mine so you can repair yours. Email at (g4)(kpp)@(hotmail).(com) - remove the brackets - trying to avoid spam
I just had mine go bad in my 2004 xl.... I called the company and they said if its within 70-80 thousand miles they will assist... Mine has 86000 and they basically said "your screwed!" I have 6 kids and can't afford a 550.00 speedo that shouldnt be a burden on me... With a vehicle as nice as a denali xl it should be taken care of!!!!!!!!! This is rediculous!
