Question about Yahoo Messenger

I cannot sign in to yahoo messenger even im using correct accountand password.

Check your Internet Explorer settings by going to Tools>Internet Options>Connections>Settings

Then check Automatically Detect Settings.

Also do this again - Tools>Internet Options>Connections>

Then this time click LAN Settings and check Automatically Detect Settings

Click Apply and then try logging in to Yahoo Messenger again.

You can go to mail.yahoo.com and use the forgotten password form.

also try this:

3. Select the correct Internet connection type and country from the pull-down menus.
4. Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window.
5. Yahoo! Messenger will ask you if you want to sign in again with your new proxy settings. Click the "OK" button.
6. Enter your Yahoo! ID and password and click the "Sign In" button.

The above configuration works in most situations. (However, if you connect in this way, you won't be able to use the Voice feature.) If this configuration doesn't work, follow these steps:

1. Click the "Messenger" menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "Connection Preferences."
2. Enable the "No network detection" option and then click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window.

I can't sign in on ym.it says i typed incorrect password but its not.

You must first check if the problem is with your e-mail account. Log in on your email account using your email address and password. If your were unable, settle first the issue with yahoo mail before you can log in with yahoo messenger.

If you can access your mail account, before signing in to yahoo messenger verify for capital letters in your password. If you are sure the password is correct, then the last option is to get in the answer and question portion of yahoo messenger to send to your e-mail the correct password on your yahoo messenger account. Click Forget Password to start the verification and reset your password.

I tried to download the lastest yahoo messenger and now I can't even access the old verison. What could be my problem?

I would like to help you with your issue. but we have to check the following first

> Step 1: Test Your Internet Connection
> Step 2: Verify Your Yahoo! ID and Password
Open Internet explorer and www.mail.yahoo.com
Check by sign in to you account
> Step 3: Test Your Access to Secure Pages
Make sure that you can access secure pages from Internet Explorer
Try to sign in to Yahoo! by going to the Yahoo! sign in page and enter the same Yahoo! ID and password you were using before.
> Step 4: Verify Credentials
Verify that the same Yahoo! ID and password you used before in the last step also works in the online version of Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger for the Web:
http://webmessenger.yahoo.com/
enter the same Yahoo! ID and password you were using before.
> Step 5: Check Connection Settings
Click the Messenger menu and select Connection Preferences.
Click Connect directly to the Internet, and then click OK.

Check by Changing the connection type to a connection via a proxy server:
Click the Messenger menu and select Connection Preferences.
Click Connect via a proxy server, then under this option, select HTTP proxy, and then click OK.

Last is Uninstall all the Yahoo Tool Bars and Yahoo applications , Yahoo Messenger, and Yahoo Updates from Program list i.e Control panel - Add/Rem Programs ..
And reinstall the Yahoo Messenger again -

When im signing on yahoo messenger it always says "sign in problem"

Please check that you typing your ID and password correctly...May be you typing a wrong password....or may be you switched your caps lock on...please try login yahoo mail account through www.yahoo.com ..but must put correct login information...if you still not able to access your account please try reset your password through http://edit.yahoo.com/forgot ...further result please let us know...thanks for using Fixya...Good Luck

The problem I have with not being able to sign into yahoo messenger is that I get an error message with number that are 81003004. It says try again...new user and sign in problems. This has been going on for many months now and I have removed yahoo from add and remove and downloaded yahoo messenger many many times. I really like yahoo and essepically my radio station I created and miss some of my friends I cannot contact any more. Please help me resolve this problem. I can sign into my home page with correct password with no problem but not yahoo messenger. Like I said the error message I get is 81003004 that is showing up on my yahoo messenger IM log in. I cannot connect thru yahoo messenger yet I can connnect thru Mozilla Firefox, I also cannot connect to MSN Explorer- I could not get Expert Assistance here says I am not connected to internet thru Internet Explorer But my internet connection is fine thru Mozilla????????-
