Hello, I have a model R303CW microwave. Table turns, lights work, fan works, control panel works. NO HEAT. I see only one fuse, so that must not be the problem. Any suggestions?

The fuse you are referring to is usually the line fuse. If it were blown, the microwave oven would be completely dead. Since you HAVE power and the turn table, fan and lights all work, the line is not the problem.

If everything works, but the microwave oven does not heat, this is most commonly caused by a failed magnetron or internal thrmostat. The magnetron is essentially, the heart of the oven that produces the RF energy that is used to heat your food. In order to replace a defective magnetron, you will need to consider the following:

1. You will need to uninstall the oven from over the range in order to replace the part (you will need to do this anyway, if you decide to buy a replacement oven).

2. Ensure the oven is UNPLUGGED before servicing anything inside the cabinet and remove the exterior case in order to access the magnetron.
There are several websites that you can use that illustrate how the oven is assembled:
searspartsdirect.com pcappliancerepair.com appliancepartspros.com
NOTE: If you've never repaired an appliance on your own before, a microwave oven is usually not a recommended appliance to start with. Some models can be rather involved in taking apart.
If the model number you posted this question under is correct, the magnetron replacement part number is 10794402. NOTE: This model also has an internal thermal fuse mounted on the magnetron that, if tripped, could give you the same symptoms. The thermal fuse acts as a fuse if the oven cavity or magnetron overheats. The part number is 59001951. You will need to remove the thermal fuse from the oven and take a resistance check across the component terminals to determine if it is good or not. A low resistance reading indicates a good thermostat. An infinite reading, indicates a blown thermostat and needs to be replaced.

I would recommend you check the thermal fuse, first as the replacement cost is much less than the magnetron.

Review the parts illustrations at the recommended websites to see if this is something that you may be able easily take apart and reassemble.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope you find this information helpful.

CAUTION: DO NOT operate a microwave oven with the exterior cover off. The voltage inside the High Voltage network where the magnetron is installed can exceed 3,000 volts!

First the microwave clock etc worked but the fan and table and microwave didn't work now nothing works anymore i checked the fuses they are ok the doorswitches work also ok. what is the next step to do

Probably the failure of a high-amperage fuse inside the unit. The electronics are generally separately fused so one section can fail leaving the other functioning.
If there is no external fuseholder on the back panel, it will be necessary to remove the housing to access the innards.
The fuse that has blown may have blown because of metal fatigue but the cause could also be more serious, namely the high voltage diode (or diode bridge) that converts high voltage AC into the DC required for the magnetron or even the magnetron itself may have developed an internal short.
If you locate the fuse, buy two of them and if the first replacement fails again, then the diode(s) or magnetron has failed and with the cost of service plus parts markup, you will be better off replacing the whole unit.

Its runs but no heat.

It is usually the magnetron tube that fails which then blows an inner-cabinet fuse. The world seems full of bad Asian made magnetrons that fail prematurely due to air infiltrated internal vacuums from leaking metal to glass seals. It will probably cost more in parts and labor to repair than a new unit. A well made magnetron should gradually lose output power over time (years), not just quit. Hope this helps!

Microwave turns on but doesn't heat. Turntable does not rotate

The magnetron (the part that heats the food) is probably done, they tend to go out if the fuse didn't blow and it usually isn't worth fixing as the cost of the magnetron is almost what it would cost to buy a new microwave.
Sorry for the bad news.

Maytag microwave hums and then internal fuse blows. I replaced the blown fuse and started heating cycle, microwave hummed again and the fuse is again blown.

It sounds to me as though your magnetron is shorted. If you have an ohmmeter, DISCONNECT POWER, unplug the connector on the magnetron, and make two tests. From pin to pin should measure less than an ohm. This is the filament. From either lead to the frame of the magnetron should measure infinite. Do not touch the lead tips while making this measurement (makes false reading). If the magnetron checks okay, perhaps you have a shorted capacitor, or diode.

Oven does not heat

HI. in most cases, this will lead to a failed Heating device(magnetron tube). It would be wise to check the Magnetron cutoff fuse to be sure of its integrity. if the fuse is blown, simply replace it. if the fuse continues to show continuity, replace the magnetron.

It just all of a sudden dont heat up

Pull the control panel and check for a blown fuse. If the fuses are good, it's probably the panel or even worse the magnatron (too expensive to repair in most cases, just cheaper to replace the microwave). Good luck.
