It would be our pleasure in assisting you with that. We would recommend using our Volume Leveling feature which is available on our ViP222k, ViP612, ViP722k, and ViP922 receivers. Volume Leveling keeps the volume levels consistent between programming and commercials and prevents drastic volume level changes when watching television between HD and SD channels. Start by pressing the "Menu" button then pressing 6 for "System Setup" then 7 for "Audio Output". Select "Enable" below "Volume Leveling" then select "Done" to save these settings. If you're using a ViP922 receiver from the main menu select "Settings", select "Audio Output", and then enable Volume Leveling. This should help with the volume fluctuation issue you have been having. Thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

Vizio modelE55-E2, 55 inch tv goes black after turned on?

There could be several reasons why your Vizio TV goes black after being turned on, including a malfunctioning power supply, a damaged display panel, or a faulty backlight. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the power supply: Make sure that the TV is properly plugged in and that the power outlet is working. You may also want to try plugging the TV into a different outlet to see if that solves the problem.
  2. Check the display panel: If the TV is getting power but there is no picture, the display panel may be damaged. Look for cracks or other signs of physical damage to the screen. If you find any damage, you may need to replace the display panel.
  3. Check the backlight: The backlight is responsible for illuminating the screen, and if it is faulty, you may experience the symptoms you described. Look for any signs of damage to the backlight, such as flickering or uneven lighting. If the backlight is the problem, you may need to replace it.
  4. Reset the TV: Sometimes resetting the TV to its default settings can solve the problem. To do this, unplug the TV from the power source, wait a few minutes, and then plug it back in.
  5. Contact Vizio customer support: If none of these steps solve the problem, you may want to contact Vizio customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or help you arrange for repairs.

Low volume

If it's a new TV, then it might just be as high as it goes. A lot of HDTVs don't come with great speakers due to the small flat feature of the TV not allowing anything better.

You will have to get external speakers for the TV to experience better sound.
Here is a great sound bar that is well priced. http://www.amazon.com/Vizio-VSB205-32-Inch-Theater-Soundbar/dp/B004VGI2EK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1359416740&sr=8-2&keywords=32+inch+sound+bar

I've personally heard that sound bar and they are surprisingly loud and hardly take up any room at all.

I have a constant ringing sound coming from the tv. It goes up and down as I increase or lower the volume by remote. As I change the audio option to "Spanish", regular "English" audio comes out on c

The fact it shows on tuner and not DVD means not likely a audio problem--check all audio settings in the set's menu AND if you are using a box for signal look there--has to be a setting.

Some JVC sets (brand indicated here) also had issues with when watching the background audio (like a sporting event) was louder than the people talking and could be interpreted as ringing--This is a setting in the set called something like "Theater" or "Hall"

Has to almost certainly be a setting in the set.

Bought a vizio tv works good it but the volume control is real hard to get it to pick up every thing else works ok. It has the right code in.

Hey sherryg98, it sounds like you have a right code, but may not be a code to give full functionality as there are many codes for a Vizio TV.

You can check out this link for more info on codes: http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/remote-setup

Some codes you can try are 627, 766, 505, 006, 232, 458, 500, 670, 678. Depending on the model of your remote there may be different codes available. I've given the steps to address a remote below just in case.

Addressing Remote to TV:

1.) Press and hold the clear TV button until all mode lights light up.
2.) Release and TV light will be blinking.
3.) Enter code and press #. The TV button should flash 3 times.
4.) Try functions (Volume, Power, etc..) and see if working.
5.) If no function, repeat steps 1-4 with another code.

Vizio screen goes black

It's possible that your sustainers are going bad. These are the two boards that goes vertically on both sides of the TV.
