How do it replace the center post gasket on Frigidaire top load washing machine?
I took the front panel off the washer and I can see the water leaking from underneath in the middle where the drive shaft goes in to the tub.

If you have the tub out the seal can be removed by taking the brass ring off the shaft, its on top of the seal, then grab the seal with a pliers or pry it out with a screwdriver etc. The new seal will cost about $40-$50. when you put the new seal in put the rubber part on first, careful to not tear it on the slot cut in the shaft to mount the basket. Next put the old brass ring on top of the new one, use this to push the new ring on, this will help get it over the notch for mounting the basket. When the new ring is ontop of the seal remove the old ring, reassemble, check for leaks.

Water leaks from the machine tub while it is in the wash cycle or turned off with water in the tub. I can empty the tub using the spin cycle without any leaking

you have bad tub seals. is there stains on the walls inside the washer and the water is leaking in the middle bottom of the tub?if the washer is old get a new washer, did one last week but the washer was in good condition it was close to 300 bucks.you have to pull the agitator, remove the top ring, with a spanning tool you need to remove the center parts and pull the inner and outer tubs and the three nuts and bolts holding the outside tub on and replace the two pieces in the middle it's a bearing and a seal kit,but you need the tools to do it,like i said if the washer is old replace it or call someone in to do the job for you

Leaking from the bottom of the washer.

it sounds as if the main tub ring is bad you need to pull your agitator out and check the two blots that hold the tub to the shaft and make sure they have not become loose or broken causing the inner tub to drop on the shaft and tear the tub seal.

Leaking water from the bottom front

Use the attached video to show how to access the water pump. The water pump is leaking around the shaft. It is attached to the front of the motor.

Water leaking out of bottom of machine, nothing clogged and found a bolt head in tub

if you found the bold head in the tub chance are that the trunion bolt has broken off and cause the tub to become unsecure from the agistatir shaft and has torn the seal below the inner tub. remove the agitator and you will see the trunion and two bolts.the tub ring has to be removed and then the inner tub has to come out in order to replace tub seal.the tub seal part number is 5303279394 it cost around 45 dollars. the screws need for the locking plate are 131192800 and they caost about 4 dollars a piece.i hope this has helped you out.let me know how things go and if you need any more help let me know.

LG Top Load Washer

this could be a drain hose loose or broken if the leak only occurs during rinse. If it leaks all the time, could be a broken outer drum or worn tub seal.
Hold inner drum and turn bothways. If it turns bothways, you have a bad bearing, and hence, a bad tub seal. If it turns in one direction only, bearing's good; but tub seal could still be bad.

VERY LOUD GRINDING NOISE LG WM-2277HW Front Load Washer

Get a new washer. Perhaps another brand.

The fix for me was to get a new washer. Had same issue with loud spin cycle. Tried researching while wife was continuing use of washer. Then the LE message appeared.

Took back apart and found that water had leaked and caused a boat load of damage. Bearings shot, seal leaks, drum leaks, Stator damaged. Same issue as 'jammy64' stated.

Cost to repair wasn't worth it. Going to get an
Electrolux model.

Seal separated from tub (not torn)

on the outside it just goes back onto the groove and pushed back on - - go all the way around to make sure it is on all over
Hopefully it is not the inner part because that is held by a very strong spring it took 4 hands 3 wooden spoons and a few fingers to get it back on. .
