First check the small electrical box at and behind the kick plate below the door. Possible loose connections, usually wire nuts make the connection, turn them clockwise to tighten, check for melted wires at the connection. If all ok test there with a voltage meter at the white and black wires. Should be around 110. If nothing house issue, if power dishwasher power button or eoc issue. You can reset the eoc by disconnecting power for 5 min then reconnect.
The most probable thing wrong is a THERMAL FUSE that is clipped to the control panel housing. If your fairly mechinacally inclined and want to check that, remove the screws from all around the inside of the door when its opened, seperatae the inner/outer door panels and remove the cover off the control board and check for contunuty on the thermal fuse. THe first thing to do before taking apart the door is TURN OFF POWER TO DISHWASHER AT THE FUSE PANEL. This pictures shows where the thermal fuse the part number for the thermal fuse is 8193762 it could be purcahsed at your local appliance parts store or online at; searspartsdirect.com repairclinic.com apwagner.com apdepot.com partselect.com
It is mounted on the main control board inside the door. It is a white square on the side of the board housing. To check it you will need an ohm meter. If it is bad there will be no continuity. Make sure the power is off before you do this! Good luck.
Is your dishwasher have a power cord and plugged into a wall outlet under the sink if the answer is yes then maybe the GFI outlet has tripped and all you need to do is reset the button on the outlet
I have one of these modles and yesterday after it finished I noticed a lilttle green light on below the main options, a little lock that is telling me to "hold to unlock" not sure what that means, so tried this morning to "hold" nothing happened as need to run the machine, and right now there is no response. HELP!!!!!!!
Kill the power to the unit. Pull the control panel down to access the control board located on the right hand side of the panel. There will be 2 wires coming in to a white plastic clip on fuse located on the side of the control board. It will have a plastic pliable shield over it. Pull the 2 wires and check for continuity across this fuse. If no continuity then go to parts house with model number of unit and ask for thermal fuse for your unit. Replace this fuse following the instructions included in the kit and use all the parts included in the kit.
1. No power to the dishwasherMake sure there's power getting to the dishwasher. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.
2. Door switch Replace if defective.
3. Timer Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).
4. Selector switch Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).
