How can I format my sansa 260

I need to format my sansa to uplaod new music how can I do it?

You dont need to format your sansa you just should go to your my computer then click on sansa icon then just drop your music into the music folder

your sansa e 260 is not fomatted try to format it, just right click your sansa icon in my computer then click format, then check the quick format then click ok, after that it says format complet, now you can put videos in your sansa e260

How do i transfer files from sansa 260 to commputer

Connect Sansa to computer
Double-click "My Computer" icon
Double-click Sansa icon (shows up as "Removable Drive" on some computers)
Select Tools --> Folder Options --> View --> check "Show Hidden Files and Folders"
Double-click Music folder
You should see your music files
Right-click your desktop and create a New Folder - name it some useful name
Drag a music file from the Sansam usic folder to this new folder you have created no your desktop --> it should copy the file to this new folder you have created

Sansa e 260 will not work

Sounds like you need to reset your sansa, should be in the settings under factory reset, and/or format. THis will delete everything.

One thing to try is to update your Media Player to the latest version. IT may solve this problem.

Another thing to check is the Sync settings. Make sure you do not have it set to "Manual Sync" as this will not automatically transfer your music over to the player.

Not working

change the usb type to MSC under settings. when you connect the player to the computer it will now show up us a harddrive. right click on the players icon and select format IT WILL DELETE EVERYTHING ON THE PLAYER. after that has been done it should work properly just sync all of your music back onto it.

Sandisk sansa e260 reset?

Plug it into the usb port. The Sansa 260 will show up as the next drive letter. Using the right mouse button click on the drive latter and select format. This will will format your Sansa 260. The operating system files will still be there but all of your music, movies, voice recordings, etc... will be deleted.

I received the same problem, I thought I had done a Sync by mistake and had used of all the space. I had to re-format the player and start over.
